Thanks. It's my favourite ink too and Bad Belted Kingfisher, also a bulletproof ink, comes a close second.

The reason I asked you was because I find that my P51 aero, which works well with many different inks, has hard starts and poor ink flow with Noodlers Bulletproof black.

It absolutely is! Goes quite well with the Diamine Sapphire Blue I filled it with.

Today it's been the 3rd Gen Silver Pearl Vac Major, F nib, with vintage Quink Microfilm Black. I don't like this batch as well as the first bottle I had (which seems to have gone walkabout ). But I figure that even (probably) diluted/reconstituted, it's still dark enough (although not having the blue undertones of the other bottle's contents ) and water resistant enough for my purposes. And If I keep using the partial 4 oz. bottle's contents, it will get used up -- by which point I may actually find the other bottle(s) of Microfim Black....

How do you like El Lawrence in that pen?  I've always been a little timid to use any of the more permanent Noodler's inks in anything but a Noodler's pen (although I have used some Noodler's inks in my Parker 51 Demi).  I've sort of babied a lot of the Vacs in particular....

I mentioned in the Vector thread that I bought two Vectors. They were for my office and my night stand, but they have both seemed to migrate to my office. They write differently and I can tell the difference between them.

I picked up a steel B nib 45 off the Bay and just cleaned it out and inked it with Diamine Oxford Blue....writes great as I expected.

Picked up the '42 Sterling/Cedar blue '51 after sitting in a cup for 14 days and it wrote like it had been being used everyday.

Wondering if that was a 45 I'd been watching.  Although I really want to get a 14K B nib if possible.  My first 45 had a 14K M nib, and I'm just partial to it.  (yeah, yeah, tipping, I know, I was told that at the time).

Black Mk III 21 (M) - Waterman Mysterious Blue

 

Not sure I love the ink combination yet and may use something else. In fact, I am not in love with this ink at all. Quink Blue Black or Kaweco Midnight Blue both make me happier in my vintage Parkers, I think. 

 

But this little sucker, like all the late model 21s, feels almost as tough as a 51 line pen. (whereas the Mk I and II models feel slightly more fragile, but are still wonderful - maybe the difference is the cap?)

Today it was a black Vector (from the four nib unit calligraphy set) sporting the IF nib, with diluted Colorverse Stars and Stripes.

It’s kinda the same Parker I use every day, at least until Xmas, when I get to unwrap and use my “new” 75.
