Parker Falcon Of My Dreams!

I hovered over a Falcon on Ebay, bidding when there were 7 seconds left, and got a beautiful boxed Parker Falcon, with nib size tag & price, leaflet, cartridge, converter, and card outer box.

Nicely done! I have had a couple of them, one a flighter, one a brown one, but never the papers and box. A very cool pen, and decently made. Do you plan to use it? I'll be interested how the girth fits your hand. I found mine to be too thin when I had them, and it would be even more of a problem for me now. Even so, one can't deny that the design is cool.

Great find! Love the look of the falcon but have never been able to snag one at a price that suited me. Enjoy!

It's been used already (it arrived with a dried out cartridge in) so I don't have the pressure at least of deciding whether to use a mint pen. I'll give it a try. I have quite small hands and don't mind slender pens, but it's about as thin as I like to go. My first fountain pen was a Parker Classic, which was a 10th birthday present from my grandad. That's definitely too slim for me to use for any length of time.

I love the all-in-one nibs. I'd really like a Pilot Myu, but they're well out of my price range.

Congratulations, very nice pen, I have that finish possibly with a fine nib, I have to use a bit farther up as it's a bit thin for me, still comfortable. Got it cheap but with a bent clip, Edelstein Mandarin looks nice with it, so far very reliable pen.

You did get it for the £18.10 sticker price, right? :)

Not quite... but adjusted for inflation, I got it for less!

According to an inflation calculator, £18 in 1979 is equivalent to £83 today, and I paid £54.66.

Nice find - how rare is that!?

I think you got it for a good price.

Always liked the design of these pens - destined to be a future classic, if not already so.

Tha Falcon I had had a huge ball of tipping and put down a nice wet line.

Enjoy it in good health.
