Kanwrite Desire And Heritage Pen Material

Hi all,

 

I am looking to find the section and barrel material of Kanwrite Desire and Kanwrite Heritage pens. Are they both plastic?

Is there a difference between the Solid black models of these pens vs the translucent model?

 

 

I remember reading somewhere that the section of Heritage is made of ebonite and that the solid black models are made of Acrylic. Can someone please confirm that?

Heritage feed is ebonite while desire feed is plastic. Both pens body is acrylic. There is no difference in feel of either solid or translucent pens from my point of view, only difference is one is visibility through material. There is one point I will give that is there could be difference in hardness of material but very slight if any.

Thanks so much for sharing this. Is the feel of the desire same as that of the Heritage?

Na according to kanwrite they are not interchangeable if thats what you aim for but from what I see the nib housing sold seperately is same so I think its possible. Although swapping only feed is not possible as heritage feed is bulkier then desire.

For better understanding here's what I mean clear pen is desire while green one is heritage and you can see nib housing size and feed size. Kanwrite do say they are not interchangeable so there is that.

I personally like heritage more because of its size and general feel but if I have to write for long (which I usually have to) I go for desire due to more comfortable size for my small hands plus is general ease of cleaning 3 in 1 over piston filler which makes using permanent ink relatively easy. The ink flow on both of them is very wet and nib is smooth so there will be no issue of dryness or scratchy feel.

 

But overall in terms of feel I like heritage a little more.

 

Edit: long writing refers to more then 25 pages in one go in my case.

I did own one not anymore sadly. It was lost during my shifting from delhi to lucknow when I returned from college.

The ebonite feed of Kanwrite looks promising. it looks similar to Sheaffer no nonsense pens feed. I tried to acquire some of it but gave up after getting no response from Kanwrite even after multiple attempts few years back.

 

I wonder if it can be bought as group buy.

I bought mine directly from kanwrite, called the phone number and kept further contact with watsapp. Email I send recieved the reply abid after 2 days.

You can also look at sites like thepenworld, they sell them in most colors and nib options but not complete catalog.

Thank you, I have the contacts. I'm only interested in their ebonite feeds not pens. I even asked the owner when I met him during one of Pelikan hub events in Delhi. But I didn't get any positive response from him. It appeared that he was not interested at all

It really is I used it in my entire semister....I plan on getting one at end of this year hopefully.

OK an idea from my side...buy a nib housing from Kanwrite they are heritage units at least that is what I got....take the feed out its friction fit and walla an ebonite feed and nib of your choice plus housing for future use in any pen.

I do have fair number of ED pens. I wanted these feeds either as backup or replacement for those pens. This ebonite feed has good number of fins which will help to prevent burping in ED pens to somehow. Buying nib housing does not seem feasible to me.

 

I am looking for some 10-15 feeds.

Thank you for your offer. I guess I will pass. I just came to know that even these feeds are not made by them. it is sourced from somewhere else.

I will rather look for spare Sheaffer NN feeds now.

I am not questioning their pens or material. I'm sure it is of good quality. That's why they have earned positive feedback here as well as in other related forums.

I share no personal problem with them
