Several thousands yoers separated these two "technologies". Urushi and 3D printing.

We are merging them in one project - William Shakour x Tamenuri Studio ;)
Willianm printed for me two Faceted Titans with 38 nibs, and now I am lacquering them with urushi.
I am going to document this project on Youtube and Instagram, and invite you to join ;)

Completely fascinated by the amalgamation of the ancient and new. I am trying to imagine, what this beauty will be, hopefully a magnificent difference.

William is a complete gentleman and enjoys and proud of his creations.

I await the video and end product, a new masterpiece in the making?

Would be cool to see the end product and how does it hold after two years.

I also wonder if it's possible to create a non-smooth more tactile urushi finish with high colour vibrancy (for those of us who like more tactile finish [read: sweaty hands]).
