Sharing some pictures of my Guider Jumbos in Ebonite.

The pen holds a humongous 5.12ml ink in ED mode.

thanks. Very true about the comfort and usability. Final polish is also done very well. My first jumbo in black hr is now 13 years old, still going great.

It's matter of personal preference. MB 149 is fairly large pen and it is one of the most used FP across the world.

Interesting post. Thanks for sharing. Yes its a matter of preference and I actually can write well with jumbos as well as tiny ones like the Mozart or the m300.

Some people prefer large pens. I'm not one of them. I tried someone's MB 149 and found it too large and awkward for my hand.

OTOH, a friend of mine who DID have large hands actually liked really tiny pens like Peter Pans; of course he also had a Cleo Scribent (?) that was ginormous....

Is "Golconda Bordeaux" the name used for the mud-red colour? Why is it called so?

Thanks SBP. The plain colors are indeed a welcome variation. Guider GL Rao calls this pen as Red. I was expecting a nice bright red Namiki vermillion style to be honest. But the real color is more like dark red wine. So I call it the Golconda Bordeaux after a locally produced Indian wine of the same name. Even the Tota green is what I call it after the color of the Indian Parakeet. He calls it bright green or something like that. He has 2-3 shades of greens which is all very confusing. Since they look different in different photos depending on lighting.

These are really beautiful pens and they are huge.....I think too huge for me but no doubt they are eye candies to look.

There is just something about jumbo FP that pulls in when looked at and these are no exception.

PS I also like the fact that they are uni-colored pens and not matte.

But biggest eye catcher definitely (at least for me) are Snow and snow super...how beautiful would they look in a shade of orange, red, light blue or purple.

I wanted to ask the same question about the colours, thanks for clarifying sir. I have the one in the Tota green and it's a wonderfully balanced pen, despite the size. Their new batch of flat colours are really nice.

Thank you SN. I added one more color yesterday. The GJ Nilgai (blue bull) ebonite. It is a stealthy pen. Looks black in normal light.

These are also very nice, I like blue one a lot, does it also has green tint in bright light, I saw one pen which had that and it looked very interesting.

I love that green one, Hari. It has real character.

 

My favourite is a red transparent Zimbo. I love it to bits. But I don't have a proper herd yet.

 

I like your nibs too! Definitely a cut above the normal Guider pen.
