Thank you for the photos, LyaT. Those are some very beautiful pens, and several of my beloved M6xxs, so perhaps we share a but in common there. I am currently very much infatuated with the M600 red tortoise. I have had it inked since the first time I picked it up. I think it will be a classic very much in demand in years to come.

I also have an M205 Olivine, which I picked up impulsively at a pen show a couple of years ago. I fill it and use it, especially with the matching Olivine ink, more often than I expected. What size nib do you have on your Olivine? I bought an EF, which is a wonderful nib, but it doesn’t always do justice to the lovely shading of the Edelstein Olivine ink. I think maybe a broader nib would have been better.

For whatever reason, I don’t seem to see pictures of the Piazza Navona M620 very often—it is stunning. The city series came out during a bit of a lull in my fountain pen accumulation life, so I missed out on them, but the Piazza Navona is one of my favorites from that series.

The picture of the M605 Green-White, especially next to the others will, I think, finally push me to order one. From a distance, the pen looks rather minty green, but up close, the green stripes have a deeper, richer green color.

And yes, the M605 Transparent-White is great for showing off ink.

Thanks again for showing us your flock. It is very colorful and diverse, and shows well the variety even inside the basic Pelikan designs.

I have completely changed my mind regarding the m600 red tortoise from like to highly enjoy!

I am still on the fence regarding the m600 white/green. I like it, but I cannot find it under $400. Ideally, I would like to pay no more than $350 for one.

Tom,

I’m glad the Pelikan’s made the flight to Texas.  Would it be possible to see a photograph of the Montblancs that made the trip as well ( in the Montblanc forum of course!)?

The 149s will be shown today.

Thank you for your kind comment.

What is the one with the white finial with the gold birdie (the one below what I'm guessing is an M120 Iconic Blue from the color and cap shape)?  I don't think I've seen that before (certainly not on any of mine).

I know that they change the design every few years, including changing how many chicks are in the nest, but didn't realize that they also changed the background color on the cap.

I´ll make a guess and say it´s the M200 Pastel Green.

Thanks to both Carola and Tom Kellie.  I'm now wondering what other pens they did that color finial for.

I think the only other one is this year´s M200 Golden Beryl.

Tom Kellie:

Such big flocks, both MB and Pelikan; you really need  a guard dog, maybe even two.

My small flock (800F-2000 and 1000F-2004) together with some of my favorite paper.

Nice! Classic. Pelikan. Ohne Scnhickschnack. There are some nice papers there as well. I am an Oxford fan myself. I find it to be good value.

Overhead View

Tom, is that an M300 hiding in the middle? I love that dragon cup used in the side view!

It is indeed an M300 EF nib, the most recently acquired Pelikan on my writing desk.

Thank you for noticing the blue dragon brush cup.

Yes, Oxford paper is very good. I prefer it to the Rhodia.

My very first Pelikan just arrived... a black M1000 with a Fine nib. I've struggled with Montblanc 149 over the years and never really got on with them, but I thought I'd give Pelikan a go. The nib is truly something to behold, it is massive. I'm going to check it out with an Iroshizuku Kiri-Same which I'm afraid might be too wet (?) or a Robert Oster Black Violet. Here we go...

Finally, here are all of my Pelikans.  The Ibis has perhaps the most flexible nib of them all; all the M101s have vintage nibs installed; the jade 100 is mostly vintage, but the lapis is a modern.  The two M205s are really useful pens (for highlighting, of course) and the only other modern is the M1000.
