Ah... that cap in the picture above looked more like a white Mx05 Souverän/Classic Series cap. Funny what lighting and perspective does...

That is what I was thinking as well.

Thank you for the full picture!

Hello.
This is my collection.

Very nice collection. I think the blues are my favorites. I have a Blue M805, nice pen. And I like those Pelikan pen trays.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

Thanks. I will take a look. 25€ is for me not outrageous, but it sounds like the bottles are not terribly rare, and I have a few neighbors who never throw things away, so I’ll ask around (there are several retired teachers, attorneys, academics, etc., who might just have something like that lying around and may be willing to part with it).

BTW, @DerMarsianer, welcome to FPN! I see you have joined recently. I hope you are enjoying some of the discussions.

Thank you. I signed up a few month ago, but was reading here a couple of years now.

Nice flock. I like the M450, but I wonder. I usualy use my pens capped and the old Pelikan 500 is very unbalanced with the metal cap. Does the modern M450 work a bit better?

Those are nice classic birds. I may have to go on a hunt for one of those pencils. What is the lead size? 0,7mm? 0,9mm? I have two modern pencils, M300 and M800, and it would be nice to have a more classic model.

They use 1.18mm leads. Not very common any more. The pencils from the 50s use the same.

Interessant. Thank you. It appears as if there are still 1.18mm leads (and pencils) to be found for sale, so maybe not as much an issue as I thought.

What model is the one in the second tray third from the left?

This has to be the M800 Grand Place (as opposed to the M620 Grand Place, which is part of the Grand Places series and has a copper coloured piston knob and section). Personally, I like the M800 version a lot more.

And there are also a few other pens I would very much like to own in these trays... very nice!

What? That's all? 🤣 So that's where all the solid blues went... I wouldn't mind a red m205 either.

I'm with you regarding the M800s... My favorite pens.  I recently got a bug for brown swirls and knew where a Grand Place was still available.... But apparently I waited too long.  😐

Compared to the beautiful flocks in this thread, mine is not really a collection but made of some random pieces grabbed over time.

Thank you for the photos, LyaT. Those are some very beautiful pens, and several of my beloved M6xxs, so perhaps we share a but in common there. I am currently very much infatuated with the M600 red tortoise. I have had it inked since the first time I picked it up. I think it will be a classic very much in demand in years to come.

I also have an M205 Olivine, which I picked up impulsively at a pen show a couple of years ago. I fill it and use it, especially with the matching Olivine ink, more often than I expected. What size nib do you have on your Olivine? I bought an EF, which is a wonderful nib, but it doesn’t always do justice to the lovely shading of the Edelstein Olivine ink. I think maybe a broader nib would have been better.

For whatever reason, I don’t seem to see pictures of the Piazza Navona M620 very often—it is stunning. The city series came out during a bit of a lull in my fountain pen accumulation life, so I missed out on them, but the Piazza Navona is one of my favorites from that series.

The picture of the M605 Green-White, especially next to the others will, I think, finally push me to order one. From a distance, the pen looks rather minty green, but up close, the green stripes have a deeper, richer green color.

And yes, the M605 Transparent-White is great for showing off ink.

Thanks again for showing us your flock. It is very colorful and diverse, and shows well the variety even inside the basic Pelikan designs.

@N1003U, thank you for your comment on my flock! The M6xx series fit me the best in their lightweight and size, all of my recent purchases have been the colorful M60x.

The M205 Olivine was my first fountain pen since school time. I picked up fountain pen after years of working on computer and occasional ballpoint pen use which totally destroyed my handwriting. About 3 or 4 years ago, I decided to pick up a fountain pen and after a lot of research, bought the M205 in F nib. I used lots of different inks in it. Now it is inked with MB homage to Moctezuma I (a bluish green), it is becoming my favorite ink for this pen!

I have two spare nibs of M20x, in M and another M grind to cursive Italic. I also have a few 80s or 90s M600 OB, OBB nibs that fit nicely into the M205 and all of the M60x. One reason I love Pelikan is the fun of nib swapping.
