Your Perfect Edc Ballpoints

I guess Ballograf Epoca is the answer if it has to be a ballpoint pen.

An easy and true answer to an interesting question.  My perfect EDC ballpoint pen is none.  I don't use them.  I use a fountain pen, a mechanical pencil, a fibre tip pen, or an inkjet pen.

There are three types of people in a certain category in the world.

 1. People who have fewer pens after going out.

 2. People who do not increase or decrease.

 3. People who have more pens after going out.

I have 98% in category 2 and use up refills, but the remaining 2% are in category 1.

I have the cheapest 7-Eleven pens that fit in the outer pockets of my sleeves or bags.

After the world has moved to the era of self-restraint, I put a 3-color pen with a stylus, Mitsubishi Jetstream Ag82, in my bag.

I never carry my precious pen with me after I lost my pencil case, which I used for many years, including Montblanc Noblesse, when I was a student.

I have a couple of ballpoint pens:

My favourite is the Caran d'Ache Écridor and the old Madison, which I got when I was in High School. Then I have a Pelikan K200 in grey-marbled matching my M200 fountain pen and a K600 in blue.

I also have some Parker Jotters and a lot of no-name pens which are spread all over the house in drawers, jackets or bags. So I'll have something to write with when necessary. But at my desk I anytime prefer my fountains pens.

Lamy 2000 taxus, because I love the soft and warm feel of the wood.

And Jotters. I like the wicked colours - bright orange, flagrant mauve, corn yellow. They are cheap, just the right weight (Pelikan K200s are too light for my liking), have a satisfying click (every good ballpoint needs a satisfying click) and easy to get refills for.

Too many pens, too little time!

I mostly write in ballpoint or pencil. My favourites are:

An Alexander Girard pink and a Line and Friends "Brown Bear" Caran d'Ache 849 with the broad Goliath refills for everyday writing. I own about 20 other 849s, collected over the past 30 years.

A Montblanc Carrera with a broad Montblanc refill everyday writing.

A Lamy Xevo with broad M16 refill - my newest pen and a great design. Also like the Noto.

A Lamy Spirit with red Lamy M21 (for making up documents) A truly great pen. I wish Lamy still made them.

I also rate the Schneider XB refill (which is a G2 size, so fits any Parker style pen).
