Waterman Two-Tone "c/c" Pens And Cars

Hi Everyone,

Just putting this here for enjoyment... and also would love some information on these pens. They don't seem in very high demand, but I sure do love them as they evoke the auto paint jobs of the era. I would love to get more in other colors -- and I particularly love the ones with a corresponding color jewel on the cap.

Anyone who can or is interested -- would love to see photos of your similar pens.

Thanks!

Matt

Good matches on colours and design!

Nice pens, sensationally awful cars (as I thought at the time, not only in hindsight) :) :)

Very interesting perspective. I like the pen to car correspondence, and I like those cars. In a high school car pool in the nineteen sixties, a friend's parents owned one like the second car. Thanks for bringing back some great memories.

Sweet post

Thanks everyone! Yeah, I would proudly drive and weekly chrome polish any car I owned that looked like either of those!

Would love to see if anyone has similar pens or is interested in them... will continue to look for other colors for now : )

And yet, the 1957 is considered by many to be the best Chevy ever. I prefer the 1956.

For love of it. And yet not waste time either.

I take your word for that entirely. :)

My criteria have always been so different, bumper to bumper, antenna tip to road rubber and everything between, that you can safely exclude my comment along the lines of comparing apples with oranges or being from a different planet, so no offence meant and none to be drawn. :)

Hahaha... I love the comments on car preference. For myself, my fantasy car is an 1958 Edsel Corsair in teal. Just a level below the Citation, I prefer the white side scallop with no metal insert...but if I "had" to have a Citation I would definitely want the convertible : )

American cars? Pshaw!

In the 50s and 60s you needed an import to get things like 4 wheel disc brakes (or any discs at all in many cases) and DOHC engines. My old 61 Jag had all that plus more class than just about (there are exceptions) any Chev or Mopar!

Yeah - wish I still had the car, but that was a couple of dozen cars ago. Should have kept it!

Heh, says my dad too, about his '64 Vette

Here's another car I wish I still had, and a pen that I do still own. A symphony in...brown!

I know, I know - I have some brown Watermans but didn't want to go hunting through all my cases (and none look as good as the Italian example)

Finding good looking brown pens is almost a contradiction in terms - a non-class. I do have a lovely brown one off prototype from Classic Pens, using some early post war Sheffer rods they found....but that ain't a Waterman either.

I did find one brown Waterman I like the look of - here you go, a Canadian 92 in brown lizard. But it isn't mine (wish it was)
