Ordered some notebooks from Stilo & Stile and needed to add some items to get free shipment.

Added a Sailor x Bungubox Umi-iro Ruri Sea. A really lovely deep blue ink with nice burgundy sheen.

Nice color, but what really stands out is your lettering!  It almost looks like you used a stencil, an art lost when draftsmen started using CAD systems.

Please consider showing vintage ink in the vintage ink thread. (Which I just revisited and noticed that I promised to show some inks but evidently forgot to do so. 😅

I recognize that photo.  The shelf hasn't changed much.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

 That’s a gorgeous color.

+1 on that.  The base color is reminding me of MB Leo Tolstoy....

Unfortunately I can't take any credit for that lettering. 🙃
It's a picture from Bungubox's website.

It's quite close to Leo Tolstoy, but Umi-iro is a bit bluer, and not as grey. Also, I have the experience that Leo Tolstoy changes colour in the pen (no matter which pen) and turns to a dark blue with quite strong red sheen after a week or two.

These five!

I ordered them from Flensburg in the North of Germany

early last week. They were promptly shipped,

but German Mail sent them on a sightseeing trip to the South

of Germany instead of letting them hop over the border to

Denmark and then on to Sweden. Grrrrr. Can you imaging an

"express parcel" needing 10 days for this distance?

Ah well. At least i have received them!

Have fun!

I'm not familiar with the first one, "Calligraphy passion [   ]".  Is that a German exclusive?  And what color is the ink?  (I've seen images online of the other four....)

edited for typos

I was enabled

and I worried it might be lonely travelling by itself, so a bottle of Moby Dick and one of Zemyna came along for the ride.

So much for my self-imposed ink buying ban...

I finally ordered a bottle of KTC from Dromgoole's (nearly local), threw in a bottle of Noodler's Grinch Garnet to make the free shipping. KTC was planned, Grinch Garnet was spontaneous.

The package with my impulse-buy sparkly Diamine inks coming from Goldspot is stalled in Mobile Alabama for some reason.

ETA because Murphy has a sense of humor, the Goldspot package is suddenly at my local USPS package sorting facility. I guess an expeditor in Mobile missed scanning the container when the trailer was loading. Even though I work for USPS I have to wait like everybody else 🧑‍🎄

Hi @inkstainedruth,

Yes, it is a German exclusive (which is why I ordered it). Looks like this:

Okay, thanks.  A little TOO yellow for my tastes, so I can pass (I tried Diamine Kelly Green early on, and it wasn't to my taste either...)

Oh man.... Hadn't heard about Grinch Garnet before now.  That looks quite nice.  Unfortunately it ALSO looks to be sold out.... :wallbash:

Pen Boutique shows it in stock.

I didn’t need to order more ink. But it’s garnet ink, and that was my Dad’s birthstone. I also got a GvFC pen on closeout, and a Rhodia pad. These will be my reward for getting up for 7:25am plumber appointments two days in a row.

It's a nice dark pink, not what I'd call a Christmas color. I missed last year's Grinch Green.

Hmm, if I’d waited one day, and seen your post, I might would have passed on the Noodler’s.  I have a similar ink or two to that. J Herbin Rouge Opera and De Atramentis Mark Twain or Kermesin red are likely similar. Impulsive is not always good.
