I figure it follows the naming convention of Girl Scout Cookies (which are not made from real Girl Scouts.....)

Aaah, how I long for the old days when that was true and Shepherds Pie was made from real Shepherds!

I did struggle to eat Cottage Pie though, broke a few teeth in the process.

From Stephen Sondheim's "A Little Priest" - "Shepherd's pie peppered with actual shepherd on top"

As for Cottage Pie, if you stay away from stone cottages, it goes easier.

Birmingham Ice Rink. The blue appealed to me when I looked through the Birminham website.

Oh, Ice Rink DOES look nice!  Wonder if I should try a bottle of that and see how it compares to their old Smithfield Street Bridge Truss Blue (I have a few sample vials of it, but never was able to manage to get a full bottle when they had their B&M store in Pittsburgh's Shadyside neighborhood because it was ALWAYS sold out; boy do I miss that place... :().

Ice Rink is one of their original colors, I’ve never bought it (yet).  Looks like it might have some sheen to it.

Three inks from Birmingham Pen Company:

Waterfront Dusk

Magnolia Mirage

Cold Steel

Now I just have to decide which pens to try them in!

I have a bottle of the original formula of Waterfront Dusk but which is a LOT more of a dark grey-purple than what they're showing on their website at the moment.

Yep, some missing, and nine of the vert empire versus one of several.  But what the heck.  Way cute tins & I'm a fan of Herbin inks.

Two Levenger inks, Empyrean and Smoky.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Speerbob has a great deal on a few bottles of Sailor Studio inks right now, I bought 241 and 943 for $24. The other bundle available is 341/831, if anyone is interested- it’s a really good price for two bottles, at least in my neck of the woods.

Top 5 of 26 (in no particular order) currently inked pens:

Pelikan M300 CIF, Pelikan Edelstein Golden Beryl

MontBlanc 144R F, Diamine Bah Humbug

Pelikan M605 F, Pelikan Edelstein Moonstone

Waterman Caréne Black Sea, Teranishi Lady Emerald

Pilot 742 FA, Namiki Purple cartridge

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

Well, I placed an order that included four bottles of ink over the weekend from Vanness, but only one is new to me. Lamy Dark Lilac.

The others? Lamy Turquoise, Diamine Merlot and Silver Fox.
