I have seen it in Peru, but that’s from the Pilot factory in Brazil and not from Pilot Japan. There’s probably some differences in ingredients due to sourcing.

Different ink yes, and I thought that were 500mL bottles? Still I'd love to get hold of some Brazilian Pilot blue! (unless it's just a methyl/methylene blue mix)

I was wondering about that, I think it's the 350mL bottles. I too would like Pilot blue to be sold in 350mL.

I have in my old folks gymnastics class a lady, whom, I sent her father's two 50-60's semi-flex MB's off to Francis for repair, and have hooked her on that....giving her good papers.

I had two old clean Pelikan bottles hanging around.

She wished a turquoise....and could be the Edestein Apatite (a shading ink), was as close as I could get with out opening a W.Germany Lamy turquoise bottle. Blue and Turquoise....both still unopened.eAMqXGY.jpg

And a part of a bottle of Pure Inks, Celtic Seas, a very lively shading blue ink...joins my favorites...which changes of course from week to month.....an ink I'll be doing a review on soon. A very lively shading ink.

She has been by me a couple times, so she knows where all this can lead.

I enjoy giving her the chance to use those two pens....Write! Write more than Christmas cards....have fun with crayon splat therapy :P....mood of the season, or the moon.............It is actually odd, to scribble at home alone, just to see what color the ink is on this paper with that nib...or other arcane things. It's not even cheaper than going to a bar in the end all in app together.

I am having a good time talking pens, inks and papers, as I lead her down the slippery slope.

Any help on German journaling books, to get her to use her pens and inks more would be a help.

She on the end of doing office in retirement stages...which in Germany takes longer than other places, ...so perhaps a notebook could help too, for afterwards...the got to get up, type of book; then do something.

I stopped in at Papier Plume in New Orleans and bought two Dominant inks which is a brand I’ve never tried and also some colors of Diamine that I’ve never seen. Unfortunately, it was the “Papier” part that destroyed my wallet…

I was in town today, so after looking in the auction house, I of course went a block out of my way to my B&M.

Lamy Peridot, I have some other 5 Crystal Inks.......................and I also bought Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Brown (a reddish-brown ink), some 15 years ago, and have a few drops left over, but want to get a noobie, into brown. I will also give her some Pure Pens Pendine Sands, then later give her a purple, and green samples.

She was very happy with Pelikan Apatite, for a turquoise, and Pure Pens Celtic Sea, a nice lively blue.

I had given her a paper starting batch.

I never had this problem before Norton 360....not being able to get rid of italic.... or change the script size.

Over in Chatter....I did start a thread about Norton problems...if you have an anti-virus that works....and now that Black Friday is over; for free.............still can't change this...have left Norton, for something free.

I was in a mom & pop school supply store in a nether region of Thailand today and, while I wasn't there to buy ink, of course I had to look. Surprisingly, my impulsive urge was satisfied by finding a few boxed bottles of a single ink - 30 cc for about $2.20 USD equivalent - described on the bottle as blue. The labeling is a mixture of Korean and English but a hang tag around the bottle's neck indicates the ink is made in China. The brand is 문근곰/Bear Stationery and has a cartoonish, trade-marked bear head logo for the box, bottle, and hang tag. The hang tag text includes "South Korean stationery color cartoon bear no carbon ink". The bottle looked familiar but I couldn't place it. A Google image search revealed that it is the same bottle, though with different labelling, as Hao You Liang ink.

I bought a bottle and when I tried the color it seemed it was definitely not blue but more of a bluish green to my eye. It turns out Hao You Liang has a "Peacock" color and I suppose that is what this is. Various sources on the 'net indicate the Hao You Liang inks are dupes of Iroshizuku colors so I imagine this one is their version of ku-jaku - it does look like it is pretty much the same color shown in photos of ku-jaku on the 'net.

I tried to google this, to no avail. What's a Pilot "master ink"? Another name for the cheap standard inks? The ones they don't sell in bottled form in the West, to appear more premium?

Apologies for the tardy reply.

Master ink is a general term for a larger ink bottle used to refill the smaller bottles which FPs use generally. Depending on manufacturer and timeframe, small master ink sizes start around a pint and go up to as much as a gallon (think large offices and schools). On the shelf are vintage master inks in quarts and those from Pilot, which are 350 ml.

I found some Sheaffer Bling and Coastal Blue online, all the way in Australia (my cockatiels say hello to the motherland). It will take about a month to get here, just in time for Epiphany.

Sailor Yurameku Suki-gokoro. This one had eluded me for months, mainly because by the time I'd read positive reviews, it was all sold out locally. Then a friend who went to Taiwan told me she could buy me one from there, and I said yes please so fast it's so funny.

Nice score, @liapuyat! I love that series. So far I only have Itezora and Kyokkou, but I plan on picking up the rest of them.

Originally intended for the Visconti HS Bronze Age, it winded up in the Pilot Silvern, where I was having Van Dieman's Aria, which was in turn an impulse buy with the Visconti in mind. It's complicated 😄

[written with a Kakimori brass dip pen on a piece of Midori MD paper, which lies on top of Iroful, which makes things even more complicated 🙃]

I just found a bottle of Pelikan Moonstone for $13, with cheap DHL shipping.  It’s the one LE Edelstein ink that I missed with the whole pandemic happening. Also added stationery that I had been wanting for a long while to justify the shipping.

I am very happy with that shading gray ink...and I got mine new. It may have gone up from the old €16 to €18................now €20+.

MB Oyster Gray/Cool Gray the new name may be a tad better in shading and tone...but Moonstone is still a very good ink.
