Nice! Are they big or small bottles production?

Interesting. I have the larger size (130ml or 133ml, I forgot) green label "Omas Extra" inks in Blue Black, Sepia, and Grey but they all came in boxes that look like your yellow box on the right (except larger, of course).

I really like all three a lot.

I made what I think is my last order from Anderson Pens 😢. I had been wanting to try the Esterbrook ink, but I was hesitant to pay MSRP. I found a bottle of Shimmer Aqua there for less. I also bought Diamine Sub Zero.

Top 5 of 26 (in no particular order) currently inked pens:

Pelikan M300 CIF, Pelikan Edelstein Golden Beryl

MontBlanc 144R F, Diamine Bah Humbug

Pelikan M605 F, Pelikan Edelstein Moonstone

Waterman Caréne Black Sea, Teranishi Lady Emerald

Pilot 742 FA, Namiki Purple cartridge

PithyProlix-

Why did I say the Omas bottles were 50 ml?  I now can't remember, but it seems highly improbable that I am correct.  The 2 sizes over the years seem to be 130 & 77.  All of these bottles appear to be the same size.  So...in a few months I will find out.

It’s awful what’s happened to them. They did leave a glimmer of hope for some future once this is all over with.

I looked on their website, but couldn’t think what to order.

Me too! :(

Samples (entirely new to me):

  • Aurora Blue Black
  • Cross Blue/Black
  • Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-peki
  • Pilot Iroshizuku Take-sumi (got the two Pilots just because they're so popular, I figured I should review them)
  • Sheaffer Skrip Brown

Bottles (I've sampled these, but never had the bottles before - does that count?):

  • Monteverde Moonstone
  • Sheaffer Skrip Green

@Misfit, I hope so, they’ve both been such fixtures in the community for a long time. I found too many things that I wanted, as per my usual.

@LizEF, I look forward to the continued adventures of our wizard and his friends with the inks you have yet to review.

At first look I thought yours might be the smaller size but I'm not so sure. Here's a couple photos I made of one of mine for someone on reddit who asked about vintage Omas Extra Blue Black. The height of the part of the bottle up to the bottom of the cap is the same as the same part of the Souboku bottle.  [Note that I wrote "Seiboku" in the first photo but it's actually Souboku.] Even though the Omas bottle might not look like it is much larger, much of the volume of the Sailor bottle is consumed by glass. Plus the Omas's shape is wider and, relative to the Sailor's cubic shape, approaches a cylinder, affording a lot more volume.

Thank you for attempting to solve the Omas bottle size question.  Is has always seemed odd that these ink bottles say essentially nothing about the ink except that it is Omas.  Only the bottom of the boxes provides some information.

My pleasure.

My memory of the Omas boxes I have was wrong. I pulled them out of storage (luckily they were at the top of the storage box) and the fronts all look like this:

and the back of the blue black:

All other sides are black.

There is nothing on the bottles themselves to indicate volume or ink color.

I ordered a red Laoshi ink, 2 Ostrich inks, Okinawa Sea and Moon Lake, a couple of sheen inks: Mid Field Glaze (I think), A Thousand Grass, and a Yuyi Inks Tropical Fish series turquoise gold shimmer ink with a jellyfish on it. Starting to get some stocking stuffers/advent calendar stuff.

I truly have no need for more inks, but I ordered a mystery 3 pack from Atlas Stationers and went to pick it up on my way to work. Three lovely bottles greeted me:

- Ferris Wheel Pens Oyster Hour

- De Atrementis Forget-me-not scented ink

- Troublemaker Simoun

Really a fun selection that I never would've picked out myself. Love having people do the hard part for me.

I'm curious about how the De Atramentis ink actually smells, and whether you think that it really smells like the flowers.

There's a couple or rose-scented inks I really like: De Atramentis Red Roses, and J Herbin Rose (they really smell like I expect heirloom roses to smell like).  Other scented inks?  Ehhhh.  J Herbin Lavender was a little too intense a scent (lavender is one of those flowers I can only take in small amounts, although I have cooked and baked with lavender).  Don't remember now what I thought of De Atramentis Lavender.

And De Atramentis Patchouli?  That was just sort of nasty smelling (really a disappointment -- years ago there was a booth set up in the main concourse of a mall near where I lived, that made up custom fragrances (with I think almond oil as the base) and the one I made up for myself had rose, lavender, a couple of other scents, and just a drop of patchouli to give it a little spiciness.  I think that business no longer exists, but was able to get something close to what I'd originally concocted for myself at a booth at some SCA events that was along the same lines as the commercial business.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to actually WEAR it for many years (don't know what shape that bottle's contents are in at this point -- the oil could have gone rancid at this point -- because my husband tends to have bad reactions to a lot of fragrances just in general...).

@Penguincollector well I did see Edison pens I would like to own, but I can’t spend that much money right now.

In case it would get political, I can’t say what I want about what happened to Anderson Pens. I can’t help but wonder if they rue the day they decided to open a store in Chicago.

I'm curious what you'll discover with the scented inks, Ruth. I've only tried two to date, I believe, and both smelt awful. 😅 Apparently some inks can smell nice, to some people.

My husband gave me carte blanche at Cult Pens for Xmas (early Black Friday sale on now), and I ordered enough Diamine and Cult exclusives to get free shipping. It’s impulsive because I didn’t know what I was going to order except for Deadly Nighshade, because SKULLS.
