A few days ago I saw Blue Upon the Plains of Abraham offered for sale here in the US (AFAIK, previously only available in Canada).  I remembered an essentially positive review on FPN from Vis, so I ordered a bottle that arrived today.  Lovely, bulletproof blue and so far is well behaved.

@lascosas that inkvent calendar is a very nice buy. You obviously know how to do this.

I think I would have a hard time holding back!

Currently most used pen: Lamy 2000, Makrolon <F> -- filled with Lamy Pink Cliff ink

Sailor Shikiori Nadeshiko (not Manyo Nadeshiko) in a 20ml bottle.

I popped into my local art supply store to order some Herbin bottles and recognized the artist of the week (Alex Grey) for 10% off. I used the 10% off to buy a bottle of 1670 Bleu Océan. Blue with sparkles is like catnip to me ( ironically,I’m allergic to actual catnip and cats, for that matter).

Trying to add inks that are more vintage safe so I got Parker Quink blue-black, Waterman Serenity Blue, Montblanc Cool Gray, and Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Brown and Royal Blue.

Not a Fountain Pen Day thing, because I placed and paid for the order nearly an hour before it was FPD here in Sydney, even with Daylight Saving time in play.

It had more to do with when the latest Taobao sales campaign kicked in, and the promotional offers because active on the marketplace platform.

I've never heard of (or, at least, never paid any attention to, in spite of their scrolling past in my field of vision) either of these brands before.

Two bottles of ink arrived on Fountain Pen Day - one a third bottle (Waterman Serenity Blue) as #2 was empty, and a bottle of Waterman Mysterious Blue. A first time for me with this one. Now I have at least two inks for vintage sac pens.

While Christmas shopping, today my wife brought home the discontinued Iroshizuku Kosumosu....a nice shading pink ink, from the reviews.

I've three other 'Pure inks' to review before I can try this one.

There is some sort of Iroshizuku brown ink that has been discontinued also, that I should get while the Christmas season of insanity is there.

I went into a local pen shop yesterday afternoon and tried out a few different pens (an Otto Hutt, a Visconti, and a Cleo Skribent).  No pen was begging to come home with me, but I wanted to support the store so picked up a bottle of Papier Plume's Honey Island Swamp Monster.

When I was at OPS over the weekend, I ended up buying a bottle of Waterman Inspired Blue (their turquoise one) after trying it in a pen I was having repaired at the Indy-Pen-Dance table.  And then, on my last pass around the show on Sunday morning, picked up a bottle of Noodler's Red Rattler Eel at another table.

In my defense, while I have a sample of RRE, I haven't actually tried it yet, so TECHNICALLY I'm going to call it valid for this thread....

Four Kobe inks I've not seen before (though 2 are different names and apparently the same ink).  Yahoo!Japan recent auction.  Seller's photos, these won't arrive for some time:

I'm waiting for a bottle of Diamine Red Dragon.  It is my favorite (from samples I've seen) dark red.

Don't feel bad. I'm old; I'm meh about most things.

A friend of mine asked me to go to Oblation with her to look at pens last week, and I ended up with Oblation’s Sitka Spruce ink, and Sailor Dipton Ice Dance.

Prepping a small order for a converter and a few Lamy parts I noticed the Diamine inks were very reasonably priced so... I'm getting Chopin.

I already have Vivaldi, which I like a lot, and a few times have come across comments along the lines of 'if you enjoy Vivaldi, you will like the Chopin'. Greyish leaning blue does sound like my kinda colour. 🤍

Will work for pens...
