Well, you've certainly been busy!

Full disclosure: I'm sharing several of those with one, likely two, friends. They'll chip in with cash and empty bottles, I'll do the labor to divide the inks. Exceptions will be the Herbin and Colorverse inks, which I will hoard for myself.

So far the Pink Cliff is just a blue ink. I've swatched and swabbed using a dip pen and cotton bud on a couple of different papers. It's a nice blue, don't think otherwise. But if you've got blue ink already...

The new Dark Lilac is pretty decent. I have it in a Lamy with a broad nib. The sheening is subtle in daily writing on Kokuyo Office 64gsm. However, if you have sheening purple inks already...

I think Sho-gun and Emeraude de Chivor have little enough shimmer that it won't be an issue in pretty much any Western pen, and probably not in most Chinese/Japanese pens with at least an Asian medium nib. I might not put it in a piston filler, but then again, I wouldn't put ANY shimmer in a piston-filler.

Another blue ink, but this one came from a real bricks and mortar shop. I have in hand a bottle of Quink Blue, being very careful to get that, and not the Washable version, cos @Mercian recommends it.

I'm hoping it will be just right for the TWSBI Eco Dark Sapphire which is in transit. 💙

Now I am 🤞that you like it, and that I haven’t given you ‘a bum steer’ 😁

We (pen club) did some chromatography on Pink Cliff and the pink separated out, but I don’t see it in swatches or writing.

I bought a bottle of Private Reserve American Blue when I bought my Lucina yesterday. I remember seeing PPS dupe recipes calling for it, so I am excited to add it to my arsenal.

What is PPS? Presumably related to Unobtanium?

What interested me with these inks is that they are specifically for dip pens and not fountain pens

Those inks are beautiful, @Stompie! Do they mention why they are only used with dip pens? Is it a binder like calligraphy ink, or very concentrated shimmer, or something else? I’m going to look them up. I’ve noticed this dip ink trend, Dominant Industry has the Mirror series. I’m close to biting, but I would have to start a dip ink cabinet, as I don’t want to mistakenly get one in a fountain pen.

Yay! I like the color of PPS, but when I tried it eons ago, it clogged my favorite pen. I received a cartridge of it recently and so I have been trying to match it with something that my pen find more palatable.

I love that you got to go ham at Dromgoole’s and also had another order from somewhere else. Your new stuff looks great!

I think it may be because of the shimmer but I am not certain of that.

I am not that impressed with the Blue Flame and think I prefer Polar Glow but that is of course for a fountain pen. But that Coral Humming is a very nice ink!

I did not know about Dominants inks..................... AAaarrrgggghhh! No!!! I have to spend the money on that roof repair!!!

the color of PPS

I found this in a kon-peki review from some years ago. Maybe helpful? I have the ingredients, but nothing with which to compare my results.

dcwaites has posted a recipe for a faux PPS using Iroshizuku inks:

1 part Kon-peki

3 parts Asa-gao

0.1 part (or less) take-sumi.

I hope your repair isn’t too expensive, so you can indulge in more ink. Seriously though,  I know how expensive house maintenance can get and how stressful it is, crossing my fingers for you. I read on the fp subreddit that a user had a Dipton ink in a Platinum Procyon with no problems, and I remember a Goulet video talking about it but not officially recommending it (because they officially cannot, as an authorized retailer).

The initial samples look awesome!

Dipton is Sailor?  I had no clue.  I saw some bottles behind the glass at Kinokuniya just a few days ago and just ignored them because they were unknown to me.

But not for FP...does Sailor make dip pens or nibs?  Is this a new market for them, or something that was already being done by whomever bought them and they've just now got around to adding "Sailor" to the box?  Sigh, that's a lot of questions, and I confess I haven't bothered to google it yet.

I was at my B&M here in Germany, and was told the new Lamy inks are not to be had in Germany:crybaby:....(maybe at the pure Lamy pen shop on the Hauptstrasse.)

No wonder Lamy had to sell it's self...........It couldn't deliver ink...15 miles/20KM away.

So I broke my limit and ordered MB Cool Gray....what was once Oyster gray.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

Sailor came out with a line of dip pens with different nibs, and these inks are meant for that line. Dip nibs are “in” right now- Pilot has also released a line,  Kuretake has one, as does Kakimori, and Dominant Industry has a dip pen ink line.

Yikes. Unfortunate from Lamy. But it is the same company that sell their pens for less in Japan (and some other parts of Asia) than they do in their home country...

As far as I can tell. I hit a gray phase last month and did all 5 or so grays I had.

MB permanent Gray didn't rate well.

Diamine Silver Fox did, as well as Lamy Agate, which I had to put 'one drop only of glycerine' in the very, very dry Agate. Both shaded well.

So I went looking in the ink reviews and Oyster Gray had changed it's name to Cool Gray....and looked like a real good shading gray ink.

I set a limit of €20 on buying an ink....but because I couldn't buy the newest Lamy inks in Germany...my B&M owner told me that, I ended up ordering that €23 MB   in in spite.

I just bought a bottle of Diamine Gold Star. I’m on my last fill of Edelstein Golden Beryl (which I can’t find without buying the set), and Mountain of Ink said this was closest.
