Personally, I would have opted to state the motto in Latin (for the dead language's traditional use to signify dignity, venerability, and power).
You know, as in:
E pluribus unum, or;
Austriae est imperare orbi universo, or;
Si vis pacem, para bellum, or;
Per ardua ad astra, or;
Semper fidelis, or;
Semper fortis; etc.

And the motto that I would have chosen is:
STYLO RUFUS GLADIO FORTIOR (with or without the inclusion of an 'EST' on the end).

@Penguincollectorand I have started threads called (color) pen club show me your (color) pens. We’ve created several, and they would love their own logo. 
 

We’ve made them for blue, green, yellow, demonstrators, silver and gold, and maybe I’ve left some out, not sure.

@lamarax well, the Black Pen Society does allow members to have other colors of pens. 
 

I’ve only been to one pen show, and don’t think the Grand Poobah was there. That was back in 2014.

As the Grand Poohah of the Orange Pen Guild (established five minutes ago), I approve the use of other colored pens as well. Penance for taking said liberty is that you have to drink some orange juice.
