My Tibaldi N60 Blu Samarkand - Bb Steel Nib (And Ebonite Feed)

I would like to introduce you the relauched Tibaldi. Just a quick look at the N60 Blu Samarkand model. I got it at "Fontana Penna", in Europe.

I have been deeply impressed by it. After only one day of writing with this pen I have to say it was definitely a great buy.
Just a nice looking pen with a smooth steel nib. Works out of box immediately. Considering it comes with a BB nib, it has a medium flow and it writes more or less like a Pelikan M in size.

The pen measures 149mm closed. I have smaller hands but I found the size very comfortable. Really nice to writ with.

Compared to other pens:

- Pelikan M805
- Tibaldi N60
- Aurora Optima

I have one of these, and I find it an excellent writer, as well as being very comfortable in the hand.

Your photos capture the colours very faithfully. Thanks for posting, and enjoy your writing :)

It has a real vintage look, lovely!

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

Uh oh beauty vintage redux alert! Thank you for the lovely pictures @Pomperopero

The ebonite feed :P looks like it bumps Tibaldi N60 above the competition in writing wetness

I'm surprised that it is so big. Stock marketing photos make it look vintage tiny so glad you posted a comparison shot with other pens like the Pelikan and Aurora

Thanks for your kind words. Depending the material, sometimes it's hard to capture the real color of the pen.

I believe it has a nice size for, more or less, all the hands. The ebonite feed is a plus :happycloud9:

Got any writing samples comparing the N60 BB width to other sizes of other pens (maybe Lamy, or Montblanc)?

Three years later . . .. In 2023 I'm eyeing the Tibaldi Zazou Green fountain pen. It may also have the words retro and zest in its name. A seller on Mercari is offering a used one with a fine nib for $160. I just tendered an offer for $153. We'll see.
