Did W-E Ever Own Pen Factory Outside The Us?

I did an ebay search and it seems like there are less and less WE pens popping up. It´s like the quiet extinction of the most popular models has begun. At least with Parker and Sheaffer, there is some hope that one can find a smilar model in a different world market.

A lot of people hang onto them after they restore them. I know I do. As the years roll past, some of them reach the point where they are only good for a "user pen" or a "parts pen".

I have an advertisement for Eversharp pencils that is specifically for the Canadian market and mentions the Toronto factory. I think that factory also made Wahl Eversharp pens and nibs.

There are British Eversharp pens. I don't think there was a factory. They were made by another manufacturer on Eversharp's behalf, using US nibs. Unique seems quite likely.

“Factory” May mean many things but in the case of WAHL EVERSHARP Factories outside of the USA most were assembly plants converting parts into pens. Given each country’s protective tariff structures pen parts a carry on if the lowest tarrif rates  compared to finished pens. So shipping parts for assembly in other countries was a normal practice. Then the nibs as yo gold content was handled differently in some countries. KT vs CT for example.

I've seen sterling Eversharps with English hallmarks, for whatever that's worth.

Having seen how estates can be handled, it wouldn't surprise me if a fair number wind up in landfills as "junk" along with other detritus.  Might be worthwhile to ensure that doesn't happen to any you might still have upon your demise:

And I didn't have the heart to tell her why.
And there wasn't a part of me that didn't want to say goodbye.
