Efnir: Herbin Poussiere De Lune

As far as ink lube goes, P de L carts work extremely well in my Kaweco 14c nibs.

That said, the feeds on these nib-units all had some customization done to them, so that they would flow properly with Pel..blue/black ink.

Ah. Well, there's a reason we tell everyone to try it themselves in their own pens - cuz my pen isn't guaranteed to perform like yours. :)

Here's a new "line width" image taken at 100x under a real microscope of one of the lines used to test dry time. The scale marked 330µm is divided into 33µm increments. The black grid is in 100µm increments. For this ink, the line width is roughly 264µm.

[ETA: I'm an idiot... When I started, the line was 300µm, with 10 divisions of 30µm each. When I changed the scale to 330µm, I spaced on the fact that the divisions would then be 33µm...  Numbers now updated.]

The formula of Poussière de Lune was changed in 2014 - it used to be a duskier (moon-dustier?) purple.

The older formulation was more similar in colour to R&K Scabiosa. This, the post-2014 PdL, is more ‘burgundy’ in its colour.

Oh shoot, I've wondered why reviews of PdL seem so different from my experience.  I'm pretty sure my bottle is 10-12 years old, and it's nearing it's end.  I get plenty of shading and it's more of a dusky purple.  It sounds like Scabiosa may be a good substitute and hey it may have water resistance.  Good news, the other ink bottles I have from that time is Kon Peki and it's also going to be finished in a few months.  All my other inks are within the past 2 years.
