Today, I worked on two very cool and early Lamys of the collection of my friend. The piston mechanics of both is somewhat complicated to dismantle, but with a special tool I made it worked quite well. Both got a new cork seal and are now like new:

I too like clips but, Pelikan clips.

It is significant that Pelikan clips have big resemblence to each other through out their product line-up. Nice.

This is a "MEWA Toolbox" from the 1960's, designed by: Wilhelm Kienzle and manufactured by MEWA, Switzerland.

I can't recall how long it has been since I used one of those classic erasure shields. Brings back memories of map making in the Army and then the Forest Service.

Yep. This was a really useful tool for drawing architectural plans with pencil.

....back in the days before CAD.

 

Today, it finds use to clean out the ink slits on feeders.
