Thanks, mge01park, for sharing your “Select” information here at this time.  So, I have the third phase pens in the four colors.  I had the same unhappy experience with the standard medium nib.

So they snuck in the Bordeaux after the original release of the four colors of the last Select. It’s much different than the burgundy color wise and it has a swirl finish. The rollerball for me had issues with the cap, it’s loose fitting and rattles. The fountain pen is fine. I guess what I liked about the Select most in the last group were the navy and green colors, they’re really nice.

Would you show us a photograph/scan of the Bordeaux and Burgundy colors, so we can see the difference?  Thanks.

Sure I can. You do have the burgundy though, but for the group I’ll post them together. 😊

As an outsider, how many known colors are there of the TW model shown in the preceding post?

Are the other TW models?

It looks like an effort to collect all just the FPs would be unending:  carry on.

In this group of TW Select there were 3 other colors being Navy, Green and Black.
The previous True Writer Select group came in Mediterranean (ocean blue), Stormy Weather (light grey), and Macchiato (coffee brownish).

Thanks, mge01park, for the photos.  The Bordeaux has a beautiful sheen.

And the silver trim vs. gold. I wish all of them had the silver. 😊

I’ve generally been partial to gold trim, but there are cases when silver trim (including stainless steel and chrome) work better.

Understandable. The only gold trim I bought in years was the last 4 Select. The previous Select were silver trim, I’m not sure about the Macchiato, as a rule for the last 15 years or so I didn’t buy pens with any brown in them except Twsbi due to my addiction. I don’t like the gold plate on any pens and I’ve managed even on many of my gold nibbed pens including Sailor, Delta, Leonardo, Stipula, Pilot VP, FC, etc., I’ve been able to stay away from it generally. Pelikan and MB of course no way usually.

I like either color trim. Sometimes gold tone looks better, and sometimes silver tone looks better. I’d like to own the True Writer Kyoto Gold to see what gold tone trim looks like on that pen. I suspect it looks good as the pen is in warm colors in my opinion.

Is the Kyoto Gold a rare TW?
