It is interesting that one of your fakes purports to be Sterling Silver. What nib does it have?

Sir actually  now sterling silver cisele pattern on parker sonnet is common in fakes i had seen fake parker sonnet cisele for about 30 $ which is of gunmetal shade but look real authentic and yes jinhao 75 or 601 chainmail is most common cheap but pinpoint copy of parker sonnet cisele . We can only test it with very precise comparison .

Perhaps helpful for others, as the next story to warn against counterfeit Parker Sonnets. I bought what appears to be a fake Parker Sonnet, because:

1/ The nib reacts to a magnet - it is attracted to it. (The gold nib in the Waterman and my other gold nibs do not.)

2/ The arrow fletches in the nib are blunt, square ended. (The fletches of real Parker Sonnets taper at the end, becoming narrower.)

3/ The date, IIIQ, is problematic too, because (i) it is commonly used by these fakes [1,2], (ii) it is unusual for a Sonnet pen original, as indicated by the official date system [3] (the real pens could use "Q.III").

So I contacted the seller and asked (1) for a full refund, and (2) that I destroy and dispose of the fake pen. (I am not interested in a rip-off sold as the real thing. I had already contacted the seller in advance, and he assured me this was a genuine pen.)

I hope this stupid episode ends quickly.

😠🤦‍♂️

P.S.: I prefer not to share more photos of fake merchandise.
