This Parker Junior Set has come a long way. Made in the United States; imported to India to the W Newman’s Stationary Store in Calcutta at the Great Eastern Hotel, and returned to the UK. It has seen little use. No brassing. Crisp imprints.  It must have had an interesting history.

Pens can travel long distances and they can have incredible stories.Every time that I find a used pen I always try to imagined who was the former owner and for what type of work the pen was used . A school pen, one of an executive or from a diplomat?

I cleaned out my desk drawer yesterday and found a P51 that I'd obviously stuck in there ages ago and promptly forgot about.

I've had problems with the arrow missing on a couple of mine.  In one case, I bought a replacement hood, only to discover that it was the wrong color (I think that the missing arrow brought the price down, though -- which was good for my budget).  The Flighter also has a missing arrow.  Trying to decide if I'm just going to try the trick of painting in the indentation with metallic paint on that one, but I'm still at the point of (slowly) flushing whatever ink was in the pen -- the seller didn't know, because it was an estate sale find.  The last time I used the pen (sometime last week) I managed that between flushing with a bulb syringe and sticking the capillary filler end in distilled water, I could get about half a page written at a time with it (but at the moment I'm trying to flush out some other pens before going out of town for a few days).

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Nice group of 61s. any problems with the arrow in the section? Thanks for your answer.

Only one has the arrow problem and I purchased that pen for the double broad nib om it.

But I have more than one spare arrow in my posession. So I will affix one to that pen.

Thank you for asking.

I just ordered a NOS brown Falcon cap and barrel. I'd bought a brown FP/BP set a few years back but the clip on the FP had cracked and someone super-glued it so I've never used it but now I will be able to shortly.

I picked up a Sergio Kullock Sterling 51, along with my first ever 100. They are in the process of getting cleaned up now.

A pair of Parker 51's from 1948 or 1949. They may look a bit beat up,but the price was right

No need to explains.  Now you get the joy of using them without the pain of taking the new off!

Brown Falcon 50 FP/BP set. I bought it a few years back but never used it because the FP clip was cracked and someone had super-glued it. Could really only tell with close examination but, no.

Found NOS cap and barrel set on the bay, arrived today so, yes, inked up and ready to go. Yay.

What a beauty. May dig out the Flighter and ink it, too.
