A nice Standard Duofold in blue.  Great condition with a gorgeous left oblique broad nib.  Cost me little more than the crappy Lanbitou 3088 I got last week....Happy.  :)

This rage red P61 that I just finished cleaning and reassembling. I particularly like the monstrous nib on it.

The section arrow is intact on this pen.

Nice! I just rehabbed one with a very fine nib, but sure would like to find a big honker of a nib like yours.

That's a gorgeous color!  Now of course you need to post pix of how the nib writes.....

Not quite as bright a blue as the photo makes it look Ruth, but very nice all the same.  The oblique is very nice, as I would expect an oblique to be, but I don't think I'd subject FPN to the sheer horror of my handwriting......  ;)

Is that Rage Red?  Looks just burgundy to me.  Perhaps it's the photo?

I just bought a big box full of modern-ish Parkers(save for some 51s and 61s). A lot of them were semi-high end pens-Sonnets, 75s(some FP/pencil sets of those) and even a honey white 100 FP/BP. I'll likely be selling a lot of them, but this is one that's definitely staying.

I've been working on it on and off this afternoon with a polishing cloth, as I don't want to wipe out the lovely tarnish in the recesses(something that a lot of folks online talk about doing) but I'm still working on some spots that need some more work.

I should be very interested to know why you think this. I might even agree with you; but some P45s are pretty good in my experience.

I think it is my very personal attitude :)

I find capillary P61 to be the most elegant Parker pen ever made... The ones with  rainbow or Consort caps are unbeatable on combination of beauty and elegance... And a brilliant nib + capillary filler just add essential points for me to rate this pen so high...

If the quality of plastic were better I would rate P61 as high as P51 on my Parkers List...

As for P45... for me it is just ordinary not bad pen... but nothing more...

Please, once again note it is only my very humble opinion :)

Yes. I bought one of them. It was crudded up with a suspicious black ink that dried on a paper towel with a yellow/orange component; but after the dilute amonia and soap treatment, it is now working perfectly.

Congrats, David! I have no doubts you enjoy it :)

You are a very lucky man! ;)

P100 in Honey White may command pretty high price nowadays..

And the P75 you keep for yourself is just gorgeous :)

Thanks!

There were 3x 75s in this lot. One is green, and the other a burgundy/black pattern. I think all three are keepers.

There's also a Moonstone Sonnet that may make the keeper list.

I'll photograph them as I've actually truly had time to go through them.

From this same seller, albeit in a separate purchase, came a marbled blue Duofold Centennial, a Teal Blue 51 Aero and Nassau Green 51 Vac. That same purchase also had a nice W. Germany 149 in EF(a nice addition since all my other 149s are B and larger).

I've looked at 100 prices, and unless I ink it and fall in love with it, it will probably go.

Great catch indeed :)

May I ask you to be a first person on your potential buyers list if you decide to sell P100 Honey White?? ;)

If it is in mint or near mint condition I will be definitely very interested in it :)

I have one capillary P61. After flushing well with water it now goes a long time before it runs out. The nib is finer than I like, but I wonder whether I can change it without destroying the hood...

I have several P45s and the best two, one a flighter, I find quite remarkable. If you get a good nib, they write very smoothly and dont miss a beat.

in my opinion, a top notch pen is one that writes effortlessly and actually improves your handwriting. I have P45, P51 and P61 pens that meet this criterion — also  a Gravitas Entry and several Lamys.

I perfectly understand and mostly agree with you as my Top 3 are P51 Aero, P75 and a capillary P61 :)

Exactly.  In my case apart from the P45 and a MB, the ones that fit the bill are “cheapies” - WingSung 3008 and 2 Jinhao x450s.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a Parker 25 through eBay.
It is in extremely good cosmetic condition. It is a common blue-trimmed one that was made in 1979, and I think that its (unmarked) nib is an 'M'.

I came to this thread to mention it, and saw...

Latest pen for me is this cheap and relatively modern parker pen from the 90s (IIIL).

The italic nib on that Vector made me want to buy a Vector calligraphy set. So I have succumbed to Temptation, and have ordered one from eBay.

I am hoping that it arrives in good order (i.e. survives its journey through our postal system unscathed), and that when it does, the set still has the beginners' guide to calligraphy booklet in it, and all the correct nibs (there are supposed to be four italic nibs, of varying widths).
I have often seen sets for sale in which one italic nib is missing, and/or has been swapped for a standard 'M' nib.

So, fingers-crossed....
