This one isn’t….it may be a MK II, but even the plastic feels sturdier than I’m used to in a 61 - almost feels like Lucite. This is my first and only Argentina model, so not sure on that. I always thought that Argentina was a bit behind the curve is updating pens which in this case may be a good thing.

Is this one with two dots instead of golden arrow on the hood and Aero filler? Or it has a capillary one?

In the past I have been rather sceptical about plastic quality of Argentinian P61s and stayed away from them...

But after hearing about your experience I may consider buying one :)

I just got an Argentine version of the MK III 61 in a beautiful dark green. I don’t see this the the colors list on Tony’s site. I know that Argentina production had some different flavors to it, but this pen is NOS and mighty pretty. I am awfully tempted to ink it, but I won’t…..for now

I perfectly understand your hesitation on inking it or not ;)

I have got three NOS uninked P61, so in order to keep them uninked I recently bought and made working  another used 61 :)

And I also saw the version you mentioned in beautiful green but only available from either US or Argentina based  sellers...

This is the one with two dots which makes it Argentina made. I’ve never seen this color on any US made ones, and it’s not listed as one of the colors in the lineup

A 51 with a nib that looks to be a triple broad left oblique. And two 61s in pristine condition.

Does a bag of Parker pen parts count?

Yes, they do. At least for me.

A Parker desk pen that I have some questions about. It has a gold nib that looks like a 51, but a clutch ring like a 45. Did Parker make a C/C 51 desk pen? This doesn’t look like it would fit as a regular 51.

Here's my 45 desk pen, if it helps. My nib is very obviously a P45 nib.

I seem to recall you not being interested in P51s at all. Two Vacs is a nice bit of open-minded progress. 😁

You've a better memory than me, but I don't doubt I had some hesitancy. A friend gifted me her old Parker 21 with a bent nib. Then  I got a Wing Sung 601, and proceeded to give them all away to friends. I guess these two good experienced won me over.

Anyway, I use the Parkers daily for note taking if not bill paying and letter writing. That they never fails after weeks has led to much respect.

Maybe capped they are similar, especially the p61 flighter and the p45 tx epoxy from argentina ,as they have the same clip , but not so much uncapped.

Some pictures , side by side.

That’s a beauty! I’ve been wanting to try one of these but they aren’t cheap to find at all!

Just today I've noticed P50 Falcon Flighter FP+MP set sold on eBay UK for circa $65... FP was in a near mint condition.

Surprisingly, there were only a few bidders...

However the seller limited potential buyers by UK-based only for some reasons...

Maybe the interest over there is more intense, but even if they hadn’t limited it, my interest would be minimal due to shipping costs and time.

My loss I guess.

I see...

However, during last few months I have seen a few P50 Flighters appeared on eBay UK (with sellers normally willing to send pens to overseas buyers) at much lower prices than from the US sellers.

I guess in some cases the total price (seller's price+shipping cost) might be still lower than the price asked by the US sellers.

When I consider buying pens from the US (that I do from time to time) I simply calculate the final price for me including taxes and shipping cost and if I am happy with it I buy from there.

Well, nowadays usual/average shipping time from the U to the UK makes about 3 weeks...
