@fountainbel - thanks for the suggestion! I've reached out to Conid by responding to an old email thread. However, I can't find an email address for Penworld. Hopefully I'll hear back from Conid and won't need to contact Penworl

Here it is :  yves@rombouts.be

@Karmachanic - That's fair. If they were stateside I'd probably try to call. However, the 7 hour time difference makes a call challenging with my morning responsibilities.

@fountainbel - Thanks! I'll give that email a try. :)

@nanders9, would you let us know what you hear back if you indeed reach out?

Werner sent me a message that it should be possible to purchase replacement parts in the future. He also asked that address additional and future requests to Penworld.

I do have a pending email with Penworld, and I expect the reply to be similar.

I was considering one of the Minimalistica released today, but at €488 (outside EU) plus whatever Canada customs would ding me plus €118 for a nib, for goodness sake, I think I'll stick to my old Italian pens. I know it's silly to complain about prices, but I am a bit disappointed they are so far past my go/no go point. I've had a Minimalistica before and it was a great, fun pen. But not €606 worth.

Sorry Francis.

Yes, irrigger's right. Out of Canada for 7 days or more. In the mail it seems to be largely discretionary in my experience. $900 pen coming in from Europe'll get dinged pretty much every time . . .

I respectfully disagree. I’ve been literally waiting years and can’t wait for mine to arrive. Happy minimalistica day to all who celebrate!

Mine arrived less than 24h from penworld.eu with a perfect BB nib. Everything is as expected from Conid:

I look forward to see what their next release will be also! Regular or streamline Kingsize would be nice.

I’m still a believer that the CAISO will someday come back.

A half-demonstrator Kingsize with CAISO—*that* is my non-vintage grail pen.

Half or full demonstrator has been my grail for years but I’m consigned that the pen may never come to be again.

I’m not expecting anything. It’s a cool technology though that would be fun for the community, so maybe Conid will license it to another pen maker.

I recall seeing a post on here suggesting that may not be the case

As stated by fountainbel on page 9 of this thread.

Add lightness and simplicate.

I hope for ebonite demo models of Kingsize. I much prefer ebonite sections especially vs titanium. I won't hold my breath though as titanium is admittedly very photo-worthy and attractive in a modern sense.

@Michael R. Beautiful Conid collection! I bought the same recent release of Minimalistica, with a B titanium nib. I have the same Kingsize Flat-top Demo, my favorite. A Regular Demo like the one in your photo would be nice!

I received an update on this over the weekend from Yves at Penworld.

Conid - through Penworld - will sell me a Delrin cap with clip and finial for €300 (VAT excluded).

I am a bit surprised by this price for several reasons, and I will probably forgo placing an order. For one, the nib-less Minimalistica that was available on Penworld this summer was €488.43 (VAT excluded). I'm surprised the cap is over 60% of the price, especially since I was looking for a Delrin and not a titanium finial. The second is that the nib-less price of my Minimalistica in 2018 was €292. Even with inflation, that's only ~€350.
