Sailor Nib Length Comparison

What will be the Sailor nib length comparison in comparison to standard German Bock #5, #6 nibs or #8 nibs?

I have put a Sailor 1911 Standard, a Sailor 1911 Large and a Pelikan M600 side by side, and the Pelikan nib size falls in between the two Sailors. I am eye-balling this because I do not have calipers, but I lined them up on grid paper and the Pelikan nib is a bit longer than the 1911 S and a bit shorter than the 1911 L. The M600 is closer to the 1911 S. Hope this helps.

 

I think that the M600 uses a Bock #5 nib, but don't hold me to that.

 

I don't know the the reason behind your wanting to do the comparison, but don't forget that the nib's shoulder width is important too, as are the nib shape and material.
