I came in today and had to ink up a pen because I took all the inked ones home. I inked up a Conklin Crescent with Kobe Santica.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

So did you grab a bunch of inks to take home so you don't have to keep coming back to re-ink?

OH no I never meant to give that impression, I am a huge fan of Noodler's. Some of their inks are among my very favorites of all time. My current absolute favorite ink is MaoXi, and I adored Plymouth Wilderness.

That was the point. I *knew* that you'd been a huge Noodler's fan all along, and then you said, "This is a brand I'm *not* a fan of," so clearly the ink you'd grabbed was NOT a Noodler's ink.

Well, I'm stumbling into this thread late.

Let me start by saying that, I hate apocalyptic movies. As a kid I saw the Day After, and I was traumatized.

I saw that movie too, but I was an adult already. My traumas over nuclear war had happened when I was a kid in the early '50s. The most traumatic ones were the actual warnings we got on TV in those days about what to do and what to watch out for. They were produced by the government and featured scenes including families sitting at a table eating when suddenly there's the "blinding flash" and the windows blow out and dust and dirt and I didn't know what came flying in. These "Public Service Announcements" were played a lot because the government wanted them played and some daytime TV shows did not have a lot of commercial sponsors, so there were ample places on the schedule to fill in for some stations. Anyway, some time later searchlights probing the sky looked enough like a "blinding light" and I was in quite a state one night. Well, enough on that.

With the shut down of the Las Vegas Strip, and Nevada making the unprecedented decision to close all gaming, I closed my office. That means that that I had to leave all my inks at the office. I had 10 minutes to grab my papers, my computer and my files. I grabbed only 1 ink.

....

So, here are the questions for you:

If you have chosen 1 ink, what did you choose?

Did it match what you thought you would choose?

I'm getting in late so I've seen your choice, but mine would be Noodler's Black. It's permanent, behaves well in my pens and if I need to I can easily dilute it with tap water into a 1:1 mixture and still have it be pretty darn black. If necessary I have diluted it to a 3:1 = water: Noodler's Black ink mixture and I've been perfectly able to read it.

In the meantime, stay safe and healthy.

Thanks, you too. So far I'm still breathing, and I've been locked down for well over a month now. Some Spring :( .

On a sacred quest for the perfect blue ink mixture!

Robert Oster ‘River of Fire’ is green?

What the vorsprung durch technik are the Aussies dumping in their rivers that they burn with green flames?

By comparison, the pre-EPA Cayuhoga in Cleveland (a river that did actually catch fire. More than once) seems relatively benign :o
