Inky T O D - The Unthinkable Has Happened, Amber Had To Choose 1 Ink

I don't want to make it so hard that no one plays. but I also don't think that seen the images have been that helpful the color is so unexpected from the name.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Hmm. Also not sure if this meets the requirements.... but maybe GVFC Garnet red?

How about another long shot - J. Herbin Poussiere De Lune. It comes in a big bottle, there is the word "red" in the title, but it isn't difficult to find.

Or maybe Monteverde Rose Noir?

Or maybe Noodler's Black Swan of English Roses.

Or could it be the FPN Special Noodler's Dumas Tulipe Noir???

Or Parker Penman Mocha????

Good guess, I don't actually own the ink, but I did seriously consider grabbing Moss Green.

a not so serious guess -- is there a Noodler's ink by the name of "Bolognese"?

LOL

I don't think so, but that's not the ink.

Noodler's Ottoman Rose?

I like Ottoman Rose, but not as much as other inks. So, no, but good guess.

Platinum Cassis Black?

No, but getting warmer.

Colorverse Dark Energy

Good guess on color, but the Coloverse inks have been too finicky for me.

Rohrer & Klingner Scabiosa.

If I won send me a letter of recommendation, that'll surely boost my resume :D

LOL I think I mentioned that it is neither Salix nor Scabiosa but those two combined are beautiful.

1. Is darn close in color but not PdL as is DTN, BSofER though BSAiR is probably closer, no to Mocha though it is a wonderful color

So, none of the above.

Bungubox Piano Mahogany seems close in color, though it doesn't have red in the name.

Krishna IG Lavender Black might be a bit too purple, and doesn't have red either

Same with Krishna black rose

Are those close in color?

The color is officially described as RED, but that's a lie, because whatever color it is - is not RED. I mean maybe if it were a red wine? I'm not sure. I would call it a purple, but the official name of the ink is RED.

There's a 3 Oyster's Red Wine that would fit that description...

If Cassis is getting warmer, is it Rohrer and Klingner Cassia?

Ugh, that ink is not named red.

That's a really good guess, though is it waterproof?

The official name is just RED.

Not rose or wine or burgundy.

I haven't seen the two Krishna inks so I can't comment about the color and they weren't in my cabinet, so didn't pick them.

Another ink I haven't tried.

LOL, I almost grabbed Cassia, but not only is not named red, it's not waterproof.

Oh, you beat me to it.

The ink is named RED which I will again point out is just silly.

My problem is being unfamiliar with the waterproof inks.

Amber, did you say it was hard to find?

Amber:

Is the name Red, and nothing else?

So not De Atramentis Black Edition Red Black.
