Spring Inks

My winter inks are feeling drab and gray (I write with a lot of grayed colors in winter it seems). Even though here in mid-New England spring is still around a long corner the robins have arrived, the geese are honking in the sky, and the first green nubs of daffodils can be seen through the icy slush we got yesterday.

The only really spring-like ink I have is R&K Alt Gold-grun. Anyone have any spring ink favorites?

I just got a sample of DeAtramentis Heather Violet. It is a bright, violet leaning pink! I also really like Diamine Claret and Diamine China Blue. And for a really cheerful azure, I love Montblanc Unicef. I also tried a sample of Akkerman Passage Blauw. I really enjoy it.

I really like Kobe 62 Nunobiki Lavender. Vibrant purples and lavenders are my favorites during the spring.

If anyone finds that the arrival of Spring puts them in the mood for a bright & cheerful ink, I recommend Pelikan Edelstein Topaz.
(If you’ve never used it, I recommend the reviews of Topaz by namrehsnoom & by Sandy1.)

I actually often find its appearance to be too cheerful - but then of course I am a dour & curmudgeonly Northerner ;)

Diamine shimmertastic Lilac Satin

But in general I don't have any seasonal themes to my ink selection. I can only go by recommending inks from a generally accepted "spring palette", though I might use inks from that category year-round.

I like to go mad with Iroshizuku Chiku-rin when it's Spring (pic from a thread a while ago when the green Pelikan Duo wasn't getting enough love)

Well I have wandered a little among your suggestions and have come to the early conclusion that what I need is a springy green, a turquoise, and a magenta. I have none of these in my current palette of inks. I love the cloudy pinks but they are not going to show up in a fine nib which is all I write with, so they are out. I don't do shimmer and I don't buy Noodlers so that does narrow it a little more.

Turquoise ideas:

Pelikan Turquoise

Waterman Inspired Blue

J.Herbin Bleu Pervenche

Springy Green ideas:

Diamine Meadow
TWSBI Prairie Green
Robert Oster Green Green, Vine Green

Magenta ideas:

Soferino

Diamine Deep Magenta

I just filled one of my Platinum Prefountes with Iroshizuku Yama-budo, and it was exactly what I wanted in a Spring ink.

Well, it's snowing here, doesn't feel like spring yet. I ordered some inks from Vanness -- Diamine Meadow, R&K Solferino, and Pelikan 4001 Turquoise. All inexpensive inks. Now .... I wait. For inks, for spring.
