Comparison Of Traditional Iron Galls

Thank you, Silverlifter, for doing the comparison and for the feedback on Hero 232. I appreciate it.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have thoughts regarding the use of Hero 232 or a KWZ in a vintage Parker Vacumatic with the transparent rings in the barrel? Would an iron gall ink stain the inside?

What about Platinum Blue Black? Does it darken with time?

Platinum Blue Black does darken with time. It will darken slightly after a few minutes, and then continue to darken over greater spans of time. I have writings from a few months to a year ago that have darkened considerably compared to fresh writings, but nowhere near the blackness of some of the heavier iron gall inks. That's actually one of the things I like a lot about Platinum BB, is its ability to retain a lot of blue even after a long time.

Hi Cliff, see my reply in your thread. Essentially, I have had no issues.

Vintage. Cursive italic. Iron gall.
