Just added a Rollerball to my collection :) Just not any Rollerball :) The 75th Anniversary Solid 18K Gold 162 Le Grand Rollerball, which is limited to only 75 pieces :)

I also treated myself to a very nice German made watch, to go with the pen :)

Beautiful, but you need to show us the wrist-facing side of that gorgeous Lange. :) The face is amazing enough, but I can't get enough of a properly designed and finished movement.

Just in. I love writing with this pen..

Congrats!

I sense i will also pick one up as it resembles the 146R, but in my opinion, a little nicer :)

I’m still using a MB 146 and a MB 144 purchased in 1980 and 1982 respectively in Frankfurt, Germany. In a department store, They became luxury pens a few years later. They both function properly some forty years later, which is more than I can say for myself.

My champ, however, is a Parker 51. Going strong at age 61

Technically speaking, not a 2020 purchase... I bought this MB 149 Platinum last November, with a factory Fine nib. Smooth writer, but a bit too broad for my personal taste. So, I sent the pen to Michael Masuyama and it came back a couple of months ago with a terrific EF nib; perfect flow and a true extra fine line.

Not really a new purchase but I always wanted to have an OF for daily writing, so I sent off a M 149 nib I did not find my self using to Mark Bacas and he made me this beauty.

Excuse the picture, the lighting I have right now is not optimal.

CONGRATULATIONS!

There's no nib more fun for daily writing than an Oblique Fine (OF).

Thank you for sharing the image.

The several older Montblanc OFs on my writing desk all provide a premium writing experience.

The next Bespoke pen I order is very likely to be an OF.

May yours be a terrific writer and the source of much joy!

Well, I learned a thing or two about FOMO this year. As well about some of my OCBs - but that is another story.

I posted in this thread in early April that my recently acquired Marc Newson turned out to be a question mark. That did not improve. I still love the design, but I just could not get used to the section and overall grip. It kept rotating in my fingers. So I sold it.

The moment I freed up enough funds to order my Martelé was the moment I noticed the pen was no longer listed on montblanc.com, so FOMO kicked in. Not to worry though, my retailer could still order one, I got it, I adore it and keep it inked up with Psychedelic Purple to be used every day.

This week I stumbled across the 2001 WE Charles Dickens. I have seen it before, and was attracted to it, but to my own surprise I now fell in love with it. Very deeply and very quickly. So I searched the web up and down and although there are some pre-owned to be found, I also found it listed on a retailer's website as NOS. So FOMO kicked in again. Not necessary again, because apparently there are still some on stock in the Hamburg warehouse. It is ordered now, I hope they will check the pen and perhaps lubricate the piston (does silicone grease survive almost 20 years?), and in a fortnight I can unscrew that magnificently-oversized-monster of a gorgeous silver cap and marvel at its luster.

Walt Disney Special Edition Rollerball (with a black fineliner refill). When I first saw it I wasn’t impressed, but it progressively grew on me. It is lighter than my Hitchcock, but has a nice weigh though. Mickey’s face on the barrel is the only slightly “excessive” part of the pen, which otherwise I like also because it is quite decent and not ostentatious.

The most recent Montblanc purchase is that of a Montblanc 142 Masterpiece with a fine nib, that is the perfect sibling to the Montblanc Meisterstück 142 with a BB nib that I got in March. My new lovely arrived today and I was veeeery pleased not only to find that the fine nib is just wonderful but also that the seller threw in a gorgeous red Montblanc leather etui as a very welcome surprise.

Oh, yes! Very nice. And that red etui is quite a generous bonus!

The 142 is a true masterpiece, imho. There's something about its smaller size which highlights the expertise and craftsmanship which has gone into building such a fine instrument.

Enjoy it in good health.
