Enjoying Montblanc Pens — Broad, Oblique, Extra Fine, Le & Bespoke 2020-2023

Kyrtaax, your point is well taken.  It is not alone — there are several pens still sitting in their boxes, including a Hugo. I have so many pens in rotation — mainly Montblanc’s — that I simply have not been moved to ink them up. Regarding, the Napoleon in particular, it reminds me of my Alexander the Great, which does get regular use.  One day! Meanwhile, I can marvel at your excellent penmanship!

@Kyrtaax Thank you for sharing photos of your beautiful pen. May I ask what size of nib this is, B? Your handwriting is very nice and consistent. I am still trying to work on that. Congratulations! Enjoy it in good health and good time!

Ready to rumble!

We are just missing the spotlights and laser show (ready to rumble)...

I sense from the photo you are a fan of Akkerman Inks. Which is your favorite?

I’m a fan of different brands of ink (e.g. Noodler’s is also well presented in my home), but the Akkerman bottles are superb. For the time being Akkerman #5 - Shocking Blue is my favourite due to the intense blue colour with a lovely reddish sheen.

~ Any incoming shipment from Fritz Schimpf in Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany is a special occasion.

The superb wrapping and packaging, the quality products — it's invariably as one might hope.

Fritz Schimpf's attentive service brings about repeat business stretching over years.

Late this afternoon 2022's first Fritz Schimpf shipment arrived.

The images below show the inks available for use in Montblanc fountain pen nibs.

~ @lionelc:

The Graf von Faber-Castell pencil was a gift of Fritz Schimpf.

The carefully crafted design features a similar fluted texture akin to Graf von Faber-Castell fountain pens.

I was touched by such a thoughtful gift.

Yes, the inks are all favorites which were in need of replenishment.

Fritz Schimpf Fritzrot is a reliable go-to deeper red ink which is exceptionally well behaved in a wide range of nibs.

As much as I admire all of the inks created by L’Artisan Pastellier, Oconto is frequently used due to its rich color and trouble-free behavior in nibs.

Happy writing in 2022!

~ @meiers: Thank you for the image and endorsement of the Graf von Faber-Castell Magnum Perfect Pencil.

You inspired me to inquire at Fritz Schimpf about it.

Such a lovely pencil design.
