Happy December. Curious that so many cultures pick a time near the winter solstice to start a new year. Perhaps for the similar reasons that astronomers pick noon to start their day: it is a practical time when less is going on.

 

What subject are you teaching, Tom? Your mask says chemistry, but the flip chart and white board say maybe English composition. I love the example on the flip chart page of what looks like a concise example of expository writing.

 

I hope you are settling into a new rhythm in Texas.
