I have a 90th Anniversary 149 with the EF nib. I recently filled it with some very old MB Black Ink that I had opened first in 1992. The pen wrote beautifully. To get an idea of how long it could write, I wrote 13 pages on some A4 Clairfontaine notebook paper. I compared it with a few other MBs. The nib had more feedback than an Anniversary 149 with a medium nib. My Calligraphy 149 made an even thinner line if I applied no pressure to the nib. All in all, I really enjoyed using the EF nib.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

~ @gerigo: Yes, in late January, 2021 I was repatriated to the United States.

With several dozen other long-time resident academics, I was given very short notice to conclude my affairs and return to my home country.

As it was a policy decision from the highest level, we weren't allowed much flexibility. Very sadly, my Pekingese, Yubi (御笔), was prohibited from leaving with me.

Since then I lived with family for a couple of months in Indiana. Now I'm in West Texas at the home of my godparents.

Thank you so much for your warm comments. I'm moved and grateful.

Oh, Tom, I am so very sorry to hear that you had to leave China in such short notice.

And without Yubi? What a terrible, terrible thing!

I hope things are well now, for both you and Yubi.

Welcome home.

Good to see you and Diji.  How old is Diji?  I hope you are both well.

You seem to be having an "oblique" year, so far. That's a nice collection.

He is a beautiful dog and almost cartoonesque, in the most nice and tender sense. I hope he will be a great company as Yubi was for you, and your smile sounds very promising!

~ @DrDebG: Thank you!

Diji is 7.5 months old. He's extraordinarily affectionate.

Kissing, tail-wagging, pouncing on small toys — that's Diji!
