I’m sure you can get a good one but I have not had a Chinese pen that has been good out of the box. Excessive ink flow has been the main problem.I just don’t believe for the money that the tolerances can be near a thoroughly designed and therefore more expensive product. The 51 copy I had was much smaller: not much bigger than a cigarette and had a needle fine nib. As I say it had definite feed issues. I do have a Jinhao as a nice solid pen but put a Bock nib on it and a German convverter. It writes well now. I bought it as it is hewvy gauge metal and therefore durable. Glad you like your pen. Not a Chinese pen hater but as I say I think they often need fiddling with/modding. Will they write perfectly after 70 years like my 51, well won’t be here to find out!

I would prefer the Wing Sung 601 to the new P 51. No fiddling, but like any vacumatic, some learning how to fill is essential.

My Parker 51 is a squeezy one (aero). The Chinese copy I had was also an aero so probably was not a Wing Sung. I’ll  buy and try one and get back to you. If Parker discontined the vacuumatic due to complexity i’ll be eager to see if the Chinese can make it work in a £12 pen. Every converter in a Chinese pen I have had has been lousy with bad tolerances and would only fill half way so always got a few German ones on hand. I’ll report back in Chinese section.
