So far today it's been the Forest Green Parker 51 Aero, EF nib, still with the fill of vintage Quink Washable Violet, from a week or so ago. That's at least three days' worth of morning pages entries, PLUS my entry into the National Handwriting Day contest at Fahrney's, plus some other random notes.

We'll see if it manages to get through my review of the ink without needing a refill, but I expect it to at least mostly do so, with the combination of the fill system and the nib width....

Two Aerometric Parker 51s that I've owned for years, and a Pelikan M120 Iconic Blue that I've owned for a mere matter of months, not yet a year. Before I bought the Pelikan I thought maybe I needed to have my head examined, because I already owned a Merz + Krell 120 from the 1970s and I told myself the re-issue wouldn't be nearly as good.

To my happy surprise I'm enjoying writing with it a lot more than with the 1970's version. (Which had suddenly become imperfect when the plastic of the cap finial shattered. But Rick Propas assured me that I wasn't being singled out; this was the pen's generally known weak point.) The newer pen has a yummy broad nib and here if not everywhere in my collection the new nib outperforms its older counterpart.

Nice. All of my Vacs have nails for nibs. Not that that's a bad thing, of course.

Today so far it's been the ebonite Konrad, finishing a fill of Noodler's El Lawrence, and the TWSBI 580-AL, with diluted Nemosine Alpha Centauri.

ETA: Add to that the Dark Lilac Safari, F nib, with Noodler's Lexington Gray.

That's a beautiful pen, with a great nib.

Thanks! Yes. It's one of my oldest pens and still one of my best writers.

These are the only two pens currently inked, the 823 since a coupla days before 2020 began and the Pilot nib for a couple of weeks (in the Moonman, only since Tuesday) (prior to the Pilot #10 nib, I was using a Pilot Falcon (SEF), and I've ordered a Bock housing for this nib, which I will try in a Danitrio (Komori) once it's arrived, and then I'll likely use these three pens only for the rest of the year) (probably) (never say never).

THe KWZ ink runs unexpectedly dry in this pen. Pretty sure it's cos I'm using a Moonman feed with the Pilot nib. Works well, anyway, on Tomoe River paper.

Inked a Stipula Passaporto Superleggera Drone -- and almost immediately had to take it to the fine grit fingernail board (7 grits, used the top 3). Still a touch scratchy but now it is more due to the fine point on rough paper.

Moved my Lamy Al-Star from the seldom used folio to a pocket case, and put the Stipula into the folio (considering how cheap the Superleggera series are... Chrome plated plastic trim :yikes: Makes the Moonman C2 shown above possitively luxury!)

Well these were technically yesterday since it's after midnight now:

Sailor Pro-Gear Slim (Purple Cosmos, zoom nib) -- diluted Sailor Jentle Sky High (old formula).

1941 Parker Vacumatic Junior (?) Lockdown filler (Green Shadow Wave, F[?] nib) -- slightly diluted vintage Quink Microfilm Black.

Noodler's ebonite Konrad (Methuselah's Pine Cone Ripple, flex nib) -- diluted Noodler's El Lawrence.

Pelikan M600 (Violet and White, EF nib) -- Edelstein Topaz.
