As we're approaching Halloween, Danitrio Phantas I, inked with Heart of Darkness. :)

I think for me Halloween may turn out to be a Pelikan Mx05 Stresemann inked with Diamine Pumpkin, but we'll see.

How do you like the 1911S Wicked Witch pen? I saw one in Bromfield's when I was in the Boston area a while back (nothing like spending roughly 9 hours wearing a mask *except* when I was actually eating... B)) and I thought it was even more "blue" than the Purple Cosmos. I'd like one, but can't really justify the price -- and because it's a US exclusive, can't do like I did with the Purple Cosmos and look for ones on eBay when the red one was coming out only then discovering I could get one for a lot less money on Cult Pens -- plus, IIRC it hit their price threshold for free shipping AND I didn't have to pay VAT).

I like mine very much and expect to keep it always inked. It is my second favorite pen for writing, second only to my Parker 51 Plum Demi. (I say "for writing," because there are pens I treasure for sentimental reasons.) The Sailor medium nib is ideal for my hand, and although the body of the pen is bluer than I expected it to be, it is definitely purple rather than blue. I also quite like the finish on the nib and trim; I was afraid it would be black, like the nibs of some Monteverde pens, but in fact it is more smoky looking. And similarly, while some descriptions call it translucent, it isn't in the least transparent. I don't care for transparent pens.

As for the price, I buy very few pens--when I bought this one, I hadn't bought a pen for nearly two years--so when I see something I really want, it doesn't trouble me to pay the asking price.

I am using a Franklin-Christoph model 31 Omnis, trying to write it dry, so I can clean it and put a different ink in it.

Two pens laid out for today - a battle of tiny nibs - the Daiso is so cute! Both contain black ink, but it's waterproof Platinum Carbon in the Platinum Carbon Desk Pen (EF) - I'm hoping to be sketching with watercolour washes if time allows.

Today it's been the pink TWSBI 580-AL, B nib, with Noodler's Baltimore Canyon Blue. Other than the likelihood of being a PITA to clean out of the barrel (I'm betting it will stain), it's rapidly becoming one of my favorite blue inks. While bright, it doesn't lean either purple or cyan -- it's a true blue to my eye -- and seems to be pretty water resistant (even more so that Noodler's Liberty's Elysium) as well.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Struggled to get ink into today's pen, so a visit to a pen doctor might be required. Piston filling Luxor Grandvisible. :)

Visconti Homo Sapiens Midnight in Florence (F) with Diamine Scribble Purple ink. As buttery smooth a writer as always, and brilliant for extended creative / game writing.
