My inner child has come out of hiding, as I have enjoyed journaling with my Jinhao Sharks!

A Twsbi Eco-T (1.1) and a Lamy 2000 medium.

I'm comparing a sample of Sailor Nioi Sumire (L2K) to Waterman Serenity blue, which is inked up in the Eco at the moment. Trying to convince myself I can justify a bottle of Nioi Sumire as it's so lovely but they do look awful close on Tomoe River

Having emptied the Pelikan M250...

Inked Sailor 1911L Realo with Herbin Bleu des Profondeurs (which wasn't easy -- I only have a 10ml bottle, had to press the section in as tight as I could, and then tilt the assembly while operating the twist knob).

This is where a few empty Sanford PenIt bottles can be handy. Also a good size for holding steady plastic sample vials or holding nibs during wet cleaning and wrapped in paper towels to dry out.

It's been a Parker day for me:

1. Parker Vector (black, IF nib) -- diluted De Atramentis Pearlescent Indian Blue/Copper.

2. Parker 51 Demi (Plum, M nib) -- Diamine Tudor Blue

3. Parker Vector (pink, F nib) -- KWZI IG Blue #3.

Still keeping it simple.

1. Parker Vac 51 (M) - ESSRI

2. Shaeffer Prelude (F) - Skrip Blue cartridge

The Skrip Blue is not quite as smooth on this difficult nib as was Noodler's Bernanke Blue, but it's quite smooth compared to most other inks I have tried in this pen. And it isn't as prone to bleedthrough as the Bernanke Blue, which is why I stopped using that ink for this pen.

My frankencreaper mostly. It's a Lapis, Noodler's Nib Creaper that had a skippy nib I couldn't fix. I bunged a super wet Jinhao #5 nib in there that I'd rescued and reground to a medium/broad. It sounds really cheap and dull but is actually a lovely writer now. I've loaded it with Noodler's Habanero, which is surprisingly well behaved actually.

Also Using a Platinum dp-1000an xf inked up with Diamine Safari (seriously indistinguishable writing experience from the 14k gold version)

and a black & gold, fine Sheaffer Sagaris inked with KWZ Honey.

The heatwave seems to have me longing for autumn today 😄

This pen is a true 'cheap' pen (2016-approx. $1.89), however, the nib is rather smooth. This nib was

also used on the Jinhao 992. Many bought the pens just for the #5 nibs, which they used on other pens.

Wrote with it for some months taking phone msgs and writing grocery lists. It has been mothballed since

2017. I repainted the cap and barrel caps with Medium Blue Permanent Acrylic Paint, and then sealed it

with a sealant. I find that the color looks better with the pen than the original royal blue. It is a wet nib.

Today's pens:

1. Parker 61 (grey, F? nib) -- J Herbin (scented) Lavender, slightly diluted to get the ink to flow but once it's started it works very well in the capillary filler.

2. Pilot Decimo (grey, F nib) -- Iroshizuku Murasaki Shikibu.

3. Parker Vector (Pink, F nib) -- KWZI IG Blue #3.

I would be nervous to put any ink even slightly unusual into a cap 61. :yikes:

Had the gold 1942 51, Autopoint Rocket pencil, and the last '40's Sheaffer today and used them all quite a bit. I even used the Lamy from the messenger bag once.
