My pen for the previoius 24 hours has been a TWSBI Diamond 580 with EF nib, inked with Diamine Apple Glory.

My pen for this evening and tomorrow is a recent acquisition, a Stipula I Castoni in Lapis, a cartridge/converter filler with EF nib, and inked with Diamine Midnight.

eta: OK, I just got an online translation for I Castoni, and it said "the beavers," which is actually I Castori. Lousy translation software. So does I Castoni mean anything or is it just a made-up word? Any Italian speakers in the house?

Don’t know the meaning but that’s one more pretty pen!

Thanks, I think so too. It also writes very smoothly, especially considering the EF nib (and that it is a Stipula). Since it was not new when I bought it, I am suspecting that the nib has been tuned at some point in the past. Lucky me!

I found "bezel" as in mounting a jewel.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense, this series each has a "jewel" or stone (or piece of plastic for all I know) mounted in the clip corresponding to the named color of the pen.

Hi Paul, congrats on your Stipula, it's an elegant looking pen, and I bet quite the pen to behold!

I acquired a blue one, Stipula Model T, with a similar Lapis blue finish and they are stunning indeed! The fine details really give their pens character like a piece of art.

TWSBI: Eco PIF=piston filler and filled with Pilot blue-black ink..Additionally

inked an old- style Pelikan Souveran M800 Black/Blue Binde with a sweet

soft expressive double broad nib..c. '89-'90.....Unfortunately I didn't scan it with the above...

Perhaps after Triptans or Opioids...I'll scan it and post?

It's been a busier day for me than it has for a while -- I went through several pens just to get through morning pages, because everything decided to give up the ghost this morning (one of them quite literally, in that the converter decided to explode on me...):

Cross Solo, B -- Akkerman Dutch Masters Stormactig Blauw.

Parker Vector, M -- Robert Oster Black Violet (this was the pen where the converter somehow failed).

Parker 51 Aerometric, EF nib -- vintage Quink Washable Violet.

TWSBI 580-ALR, 1.1 mm stub -- Noodler's Blue Upon the Plains of Abraham (possibly mixed in with some leftover Diamine Shimmer Arabian Night).

These were followed later in the day by two other pens:

Noodler's FPC, flex nib -- Noodler's Heart of Darkness (somewhat diluted).

Pelikan M600, EF nib -- Edelstein Topaz.

This incredibly priced gem is never more than a foot away from my arm. It lays amongst the 16 pens flat on my desk and somehow always gets picked up and used.

It's been a Parker Vector sort of day today:

"Geometric" (multicolor), M nib -- Birmingham Pens Persian Copper.

avocado green color (not sure what the official color is called), F nib -- KWZI Raspberry.

bright blue/Aqua (again, not sure of the actual color designation), F nib -- Noodler's Park Red.
