Seeking Brown Inks With Strong Violet Or Purple Sheen

Not what you ask for, but have you had a look at Noodler's "Rome is Burning"? Golden brown which washes out as violet surrounded by flamy tones.

@txomsy, thank you for the suggestion. I haven't tried or even looked at Noodler's 'Rome is Burning' ink. Now that Noodler's Ink is off my blacklist as a brand, I suppose I can keep an eye out for whether Amazon US will sell and ship a bottle of that to me at a reasonable price. That's about the only retailer from whom I'll buy Noodler's these days.

Wouldn't using something as simple as Ancient Copper complement the coppery hue of your ring.... Or mixing ancient Copper with any brown Diamine, maybe you can recreate the effect.....

Your ring's colour scheme is a very close match to the Diamine advent calendar ink Purple Bow. Unfortunately, that's a purple ink which sheens copper, but my experience is it sheens pretty thoroughly with a wet nib (e.g. Jinhao X450) and Rhodia paper.

Thank you for your reply. Alas, my ring now looks rather different from when it was new, and proved not to be an apt colour reference anyway.

No sheen, but Birmingham Pens Iron Girder Ink is one of those in between colors, that is one of their new nano-pigment inks that you may want to see.

Thanks. I have it. It's a nice ink, but the sheen is green (and that's why I bought it).
