Need Help With The Confusion About Duofold Parker Sacs

Not usually much a fan with Parker pens, but I do seem to like the really old button fillers. I just got a broken Duofold Lucky Curve ringtop at the Ohio show this weekend I was excited to begin restoring. I realized I don't know what sac to put into it. When I pulled it apart, the sac disintegrated into powder (was actually rather impressive). A look online gives me multiple answers. It is a Lady Duofold and the nib is marked "P" The size capped is 4 7/16"

Pendemonium says I need a 17 1/2 - 1 11/16 Necked

Pensacs.com, on the other hand, says I need a 17 1/2 - 2 1/8 Necked

Yet IndyPenDance says I need a size 15 straight

3 trusted sources with three different opinions. I could use some advice.

Never used a necked sac....Grab one that looks right and see if it works {15,16,17,18,20}

..then cut and install.....I'm no expert.....

Hmm, is there some advantage to the necked sac? Is that a modern equivalent or did Parker actually use them and why?

I've never heard of/ used a necked sac on a Duofold. I look for a sac that is the same size as the neck of the section, so it stretches to go over it. My other check is that it slides into the barrel (with the pressure bar fitted).

I would expect it to be a 16 or 17

Hmmm, I've not known the Pendemonium/Pen Sac Co/IPD lists to be wrong. This makes a harder issue to deal with

Having refurbished many Parker Duofold pens...never used a necked sac nor have I used a tapered sac in any Skyline

that I restored..all without any problemo or any confusion.........Of course YMMV.....
