I have a Novocento in black with the streaked ebonite end pieces. Just a wonderful, unique pen.

ah, this is my call...

here is the last one recently picked up

fpn_1570481521__p1180852-3_stipula_novec

the pen was mint but not too expensive as the mounted nib was steel

luckily I had a 14k Stipula nib stored away... (the one in the photo is the original steel nib)

here is the red one

Stipula Novecento Foco, actually... two :D

fpn_1571431936__p1140828-3_stipula_novec

why two? because they're not exactly the same

one has a metal inner threading, the other one not...

fpn_1571432364__p1140830-3_stipula_novec

both nibs are 14k, an M and a 1.1

@sansenri: Thank you, the nib is not only tremendous, the nib is wonderful. But I have to admit that the Stipula is sometimes acting like a "diva". Sometimes the piston is blocked and I have to pull out the friction ink feed and the nib to get it working again (rinsing the barrel helps). But then, when the fountain pen writes again, it´s like "heaven on earth". Therefore my Italian "diva" will always be one of my daily writers.

I do know what you mean regarding the nib, mine is a 1.1, (factory stub with tipping!)

Fortunately my Novecento red ebonite behaves well

no actually I do not, I prefer not to, to avoid creating unwanted accumulation of polish over the ebonite.

It does not seem to require any either.

BTW I believe the red black ebonite Novecento is an LE which was issued in 1998.

I regret not being able to get hold of the green ebonite version.

My pleasure................

Re: Stipula Red/Black HR with Ag trim..In '98 they made a LE version with three separate Ag rings..i.e. two

thin rings..one above and one below a thick middle ring..{sounds familiar}.........Re: Op's pen..not all R/B HR pens'

only those with three rings on cap............

Cromo..a three way filler..the LE version .........the Baracca in black HR with Ag trim same three way filler as was

the Stipula Nettuno "Idra"...........

As I must have already written on another occasion, the pen box of sansenri must be like that of a magician: it does not have a bottom, a solid part that makes it "finished". And as a good magician, sansenri puts his hand on a white glove, and every time he takes out, like a white bunny, the pen he wants, all the pens we can imagine ... Bravo Edited by fpupulin

unfortunately it does have a bottom, Franco, otherwise I would have that green ebonite too... (and quite a few more Etruria...),

but thanks, Stipula is one brand I do appreciate for their inspiration, especially up to now,

the new course is slightly less inspiring than we have been accustomed to, but let's not complain...
