Day 07 gives us Mistletoe, a warm, rich & "right in the middle" green leaning towards olive, without being too muddy. I like how it shades and find it lovely to read. Flow is perfect in my Pelikan M40 White Tortoise with a customized F nib with a hint of an Architect grind. Paper is creamy Rhodia Paper in a Webnotebook Dot A5.

Gold Star! Gold Star is the eighth ink in Diamine's Inkvent Calendar and it's a shimmery glittery amazingly beautiful goldenyelloworange. A lot more cheery than Diamine Golden Sands the base colour reminds me of Rohrer & Klingner Helianthus as it ranges between warm & rich yellow and deep orange. Since my three Pilot Custom Heritage 912 with FA nibs all are pretty wet writers I did not hesitate to put this glitter ink in these easily cleanable cartridge/converter pens.

I'm enjoying following along with the Inkvent calendar and seeing the pretty photos. That Mistletoe ink splotch looks very festive, love that dark red edge on it. Gold Star is wonderfully bright and sparkly. The goldenyelloworange as you say is a nice combo.

Day 9: Nutcracker

Pen is a mini OMAS: OMAS Dama Arco Celluloid with a fine nib. I have to admit that just from the swatch the colour is not as appealing to me as I'd hope, but the writing looks quite nice, though. The close-ups also reveal that the colour is pretty complex -- maybe someone finds time for a quick chromatography?

11 Elf -- Today's ink is funny because "Elf" or female "Elfe" in German means "elf" or "(cute) little gnome / fairy-like being", whereas "elf" is just the number "eleven". Someone must have cackled at Diamine's headquarter when they put this true green behind the eleventh door and named it accordingly :lticaptd:

Noël is no. 12 in Diamine's Inkvent Calendar, and what a beautiful deep, dark, velvety ink it is! I really (really!!!) like this ink and seeing the photos makes me want to have this colour as a blanket to feel warm & safe. It really looks like Papa Noël's coat.

To be able to enjoy the colour fully I put it in a huuuuge 6mm-nib Pilot Parallel Pen.

#13 Mulled Wine is a burgundy leaning towards pink and labeled as a standard colour. To be honest I am not too excited about this particular shade, but in a wet and 3.8 mm wide Pilot Parallel Pen it should be fun nonetheless.

(The pictures might not be the most accurate representation of the colour, the slight pinkish shade was tricky to catch in the photos.)

No. 14 Jack Frost is a double win: blue shimmer & pink sheen galore!

fpn_1576404093__2019_12_14_diamine_inkve

I put this beauty into my trusty Pilot Custom Heritage 912 FA and had loads of fun.

Look at the shimmer in the bottle: Aaaah!

Another blob on Rhodia paper (Webnotebook):

The pen can handle that:

Sunday's ink is No. 15 Festive Cheer, a moderate sheener on most papers which goes all wild & crazy when smashed onto paper in heavy layers or used with a wetter pen.

As you can see, in the dryer Pro Gear Slim IF (customized from a HM) it is not too exciting beyond just being a pretty colour:

But in a vintage Kaweco Sport V16 pistonfiller is really shines and definitely looks festive and cheery.

Papers are Rhodia Webnotebook A5 Dots (almost no sheen, sadly), a Tomoe River blank book (massive sheen) and a Stálogy 365 A6 (grid, nice sheen).

No. 16 Seasons Greetings is a deep, dark, heavily sheening dense petrol.

fpn_1576492869__2019_12_16_diamine_inkve

As you can see in the blobs the base colour is a more bluish petrol which is hardly recognizable in normal writing with the pens I chose: A Kaweco Liliput AL Black with a Twin Nib (when writing with an angle you can choose to only have contact with the broader or the slimmer tine) and a Pilot Capless Yellow with a wet fine steel nib.

Poinsettia is No. 17 in Diamine's Inkvent Calendar; a more saturated and warmer version of #02candycane, closely resembling the flower it is named after.

fpn_1576577195__2019_12_16_diamine_inkve

I put this ink in a vintage Montblanc 342 from the 50ies with a juicy BB nib.

Poinsettia is also a lot of fun in the mighty huge Naginata Cross Music Emperor nib in a black Sailor Pro Gear (#notmypen) that I got to play with for a while from my boyfriend.

No. 18 Holly is another petrol and a high sheener. It looks a loooot like Diamine Smoke on the Water and November Rain with a hint more green. I put it in a Pilot Capless with a fine nib, just as the No. 16 Seasons Greetings two days ago (brief & blurry comparison below). Call me colour blind but I find both inks (and, additionally, also the aforementioned) pretty much indistinguishable. I still like them all, though.

JulieParadise: Thanks very much for showing the wonderful colours. I am afraid that if I buy the set, I'll end up using them for the next 20 Decembers :D . This year I have only managed to finish two full bottles of 50ml, though I started a dozen... Very tempting. All my c/c pens are lined up for trying the colours. Any problems with difficulty cleaning or clogging?
