Also what are the nib tipping sizes you can offer? Pls consider offering OBB, O3B sizes, there is a serious shortage of such nibs on the market.

hi hari,

the tip size i currently have : EF(0.3~0.4mm), F(0.4-0.6), (F)M(0.6-0.7mm)

i don't know the size in mm of OBB OBBB nibs? those tippings must be quite expensive!

roughly 1.5mm-2mm balls. Once welded and slit, you will have to shape them Oblique.

In case you wish to write to me, pls use ONLY email by clicking here. I do not check PMs. Thank you.

Hm... that's very large indeed!

maybe next time when i get the iridium, i might consider ordering some.

but, it's going to be pricey!

If I can get a symmetry with a clip in ebonite you have at least one guaranteed sale from me if the price is under about $300. If you can already make that, PM me and I've got some money to give you.

I absolutely love the way you engraved that nib, the shadow effect on the art deco lettering is stunning. I actually even like the idea of how the nib will look tarnished. I love patina on silver and copper/bronze/brass

the pen itself(high gloss polished) costs around $150.

the clip, i am guessing $20-30.

as for the tarnishing effect, you will have total control over the tarnishing.

even if you mess up, you can start over again. thanks to the cleaning kit included.

you will need chemical called "liver of sulfer"

i never tried this either, but i am looking forward to trying the aged look!

the clip is still being developed, and will take quite a while.

i am taking my time on perfecting the process, so it may take months.

Write my name down, I will buy one the second you're ready to make them.

If I had a choice, I do have a preference for a symmetry, with a clip in that red/black rippled nikko ebonite with the silver nib in the finest line you can grind

Can't decide with symmetry and asymmetry. BTW are you planning on offering urushi versions as well?

i will start making urushi ones after i am done with my cleanroom.

urushi takes around 3-4 weeks to complete.

pricewise, $200+ (not decided yet)

color would be 2 colors (Tamenuri)

original black + color

i will start with dark red + black combo.

will make more varieties later on.

all sorts of colors, even gold and silver urushi possible.

as for gold nibs, i do make them sometimes.

but it is significantly more difficult, although justified by higher price.

they wont surface often.

Oh wow, personally I truly believe you have a huge potential of market in the nib alone.

The material of the nib is unique enough to become an asset, however do you plan on using a steel nib to push the price under $100? Just curious

Minimalistic design, superbly designed feed and your choice of ebonite as the material for both body and feed. What more can I ask for? I'm drooling over the pictures. Waiting to have one in my hand as soon as I can afford one...

unless i use bock or jowo nib, that is not going to be possible.

but i have never done any deals with either of them before. i dont know how much the nibs cost bulk price, and quantities required to buy.

thank you for all the kindness

i am trying my best to keep price as affordable as possible. i believe others would charge well over $150 for what i am making.

  • 4 weeks later...

What a fabulous effort to assemble a complete pen..Kudos to you.

Felt like adding a few humble suggestions to your post:

- Once your unique silver nib/ebonite feed units are produced to a threshold & well adjusted, perhaps you could start listing them separately with conversion adapters for other fountain pens. I guess many fp lovers might like try the unique nib/custom feed combination in pens they own.

- An eye-dropper variant with a shut-off valve could add more value to the pen. (like Opus)

You have come to earth to entertain and to be entertained - P.Y
