Conid are my favorite pens, those pictures are great. I have a Monarch, Regular, and the Cavens pen and they're all great. My grail pen is the In Flanders Field model but good luck finding one of those...

Yeah, ?I wish I could find a Flanders. Any idea how many were made?

10 of each (flatop and streamline). So the odds are not good...

Vintage. Cursive italic. Iron gall.

Yeah I'll likely never get one as so few were made and I'm assuming anyone who got one isn't parting with it.

I've also seen a pic of a pair of Conids made with the old Omas Arco Verde and Arco Brown, but I'm assuming those are one-off prototypes or something.

I jumped on the Cavens because even though I find the Slimline a bit small, I wanted another Conid with different material. I hope in the future they do start branching out to more different materials because I think their designs are wonderful, as is the fit and finish.

The green one is my grail pen. They are Francis' prototypes and I can't see him parting with either of them (sadly). :)

I never had heard of Conid before reading this topic and comments. I visited the Conid website and browsed the models, particularly about the "bulk filler," the pens' manufacturing process, and the different models. I went to U-Tube and saw a video illustrating the Conid Kingsize bulk filler by David from "Figboot." I'm very impressed with the Conid pens. As the last post before this one was on October 25, 2019 -- before the Covid-19 Pandemic -- I'll point out that on the Conid site today, it is stated that Conid is holding off on taking new orders for awhile, while it continues to fill 253 existing orders (at the time of that Conid posting on its website). Figboot David's pen ended up costing him about $900, and he believes it's worth it. Look, a Montblanc 149 costs more than that, and as far as many (not necessarily all) pen lovers would think, is not as "good" as the Conid Kingsize. I look forward to the retaking of new orders by Conid, as I believe I'll want to get one, either the Regular size or the Kingsize.
