Very interesting indeed. A lovely pen and an eclectic blend of the "moderne" theme (similar to some Parkers like the relatively recent "Duofold Centennial", of course) and the 139 form. Nice...enviably so!

Have a close brother to your pen....

Wow :yikes:

I always believed that the Impero celluloid only belongs on the Tibaldi Impero but your pictures made me change my mind! This is a beautiful pen. I really need to get one like this one day to start growing a 139 tribute collection.

Many, many thanks for sharing those pictures. This looks like a very well made pen.

I hope many more will follow. Does it have an ink window? I think the colored once look better without one. Just like the original colored Montblancs did not have one.

I had an 139-gasm. Fantastic pics, fantastic thread. 139 is my favorite pen shape of all time, even though I never owned one (unless one would count the WE Dumas as 139-esque).

Grail-worthy!

Of course the Dumas counts!

You're spoiling us with such a generous set of outstanding images.

How does the pen feel in your fingers? Is it well-balanced?

I'm especially interested in knowing how you feel about it as a writer.

Thank you so much for brightening the FPN Montblanc Forum with such excellent fountain pen photography.

Many thanks to you and all the others commenting that nicely on my pictures.

The pen is fairly long uncapped and not too heavy so it feels very comfortable. I really like the curved section on big pens which add a lot of comfort!

The nib is a 2000s Montblanc 149 extra fine nib so it writes a nice, steady and smooth line. Not much flexibility. But good ink flow in combination with the early 60s ebonite feed. It also will except any #9 Montblanc nib like a flex 139 nib or early 14C 149 nib :-) I'm using the modern nib because it looks nice and it's what I've had available in the spare box ;-)

Cheers

Michael

Nope, trust me you need to nip this in the bud before it gets out of hand! :D
