I purchased three bottles for testing. So far it has been nice ink. The bottles are tiny and they ship very well because of the little plastic insert.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Bringing this back up because I was gifted the Amazon set of 24 7ml gold shimmer ink. Is it safe for fountain pens? I was planning on using my dip pens with it, but it would be a bonus if what the description says is true. Wondering if I should try it in a Jinhao.

I wanted to bring this back up because I’ve been using these inks in my Sailor Lecoule with no problems. I’m still hesitant about any shimmer ink in my more expensive pens, but in a pen that can be as easily taken apart, I can see it working well. If it’s a thin nib and a feed with lots of fins, I would use caution.

If using shimmer go broad and wet something also that you can easily replace such as TWSBI swipe which are cheap cheerful and easy to disassemble and the reassemble as I found out yesterday when giving mine a good clean as it was being a P.I.T.A and writing very dry something to with having purple ink in for god knows how long. It is now running Diamine Dragon Blood Shimmering ink.

That’s a good idea, Mark. I keep looking at that TWSBI Prussian blue.

Going wide (M, B, BB is also sensible because that's how you get the most visible effect. Thinner nibs will lay less ink and the effect will be more difficult to appreciate.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.
