Wooden Pens From Scriptorium Pens

I have ordered two beautiful pens from Scriptorium Pens. I would like to show you what Renee can do (in case you also need some wooden pens).

Can't wait to get them.

1) Cigar shape, Amboyna burl & NYH Cumberland ebonite, the nib in the picture will be replaced by a Jowo 18K CI grind by the nibgrinder (Mark Bacas)

2) Flat top style, Snakewood & NYH Cumberland ebonite, the standard nib will be replaced by a 14K Jowo factory semiflex.

Probably you know that Snakewood is a very difficult-to-turn-wood. It cracks so easily. Renee investigated a lot how to avoid cracking and she didn't fail.

It is possible that the pen cracks in some months. This has been reported but most reports say that the pens already cracked during pen turning. Let's hope.

The section in these pens is ebonite. Fits your requirement.

There are some pen companies which sell wooden pens - mostly with black sections. I dislike this strong contrast, so I choose in discussion with Renee NYH Cumberland ebonite which is a bit reddish brown, much nearer to the wood color than black. I would have preferred even ebonite looking like the corresponding wood - but that doesn't exist.

I like wood pens and those are beauties! Renee did some really nice work on them! I especially like the Amboyna Burl.

My favorite wood pens are by Ryan Krusac, although I was quite smitten with pictures of this Oldwin, said to be made from the same wood used in skateboards. I came *this* close but in the end couldn't quite pull the trigger.

> How much does the first one cost?

I usually do not publicly disclose prices of pens made for me. Sorry.

The price of a Scriptorium pen depends very much what kind of pen you want or if the material is available at all. Please contact Renee and discuss prices with her: https://scriptoriumpens.com/contact/

I was under the impression that the price is standard. No intention to have anyone disclose anything, :)

I found the price list on their site.
