Leonardo Momento Zero Grande in Marmo Incrinato Celluloid

Hearty congratulations on a wonderful pen. I had been waiting for the story, and it was worth the wait!

The Arborea is the same length and girth as the MZG. The weight of the Arborea and a MZG 2.0 inked are both right around 32g.

David

Am I right to assume that the MZG 2.0 weight you quoted includes the cap? If I'm to purchase a second Leonardo to "top off" the rather lightweight feel of last year's Momento Magico – that I knew of beforehand – I'd look for a pen that's 5-7 grs. heavier. Doesn't need to be much more in bare (not posted) writing weight.

I weighed the pens capped (and, as noted, inked.  FYI, I weighed two more MZG 2.0 pens capped but not inked. They were 28.8 and 32.2g, respectively. The difference was due to the thick, silver cap band on the heavier pen.

When Leonardo released the Galattica, as expected, the blue one sold out in a few days. It's always like that with blue pens.
But the pink one (Nana Rosa) is absolutely wonderful. Baby pink, fuchsia and salmon pink, mixed with gold powder.

My latest Leonardo is a Dodici Mosaic, 027/100, with a #8 1.1 Stub. It's really gorgeous and writes well with Leonardo Blue ink.

I have a couple of other facetted pens in ebonite that Leonardo made for the Corsani shop in Rome. I am really liking all of these pens.

David, I love this pen! I've been fascinated w the Mosaico material since inception but haven't had room for another. This one, with the facets, really brings out some new aspects of the layers. What a handsome and unique pen, big congratulations.

David,

I like very much faceted pens, not that common in the actual production of pens, and therefore I was looking at the Dodici.

How big is the pen, about same size of Momento Zero or bigger than that ?

The question is because I do not like that much oversized faceted pens, like for example those of Santini, but I love more the size of Omas, from 556 to 557 just to give an idea.

Thanks a lot if you will give me some advice about size.

Hi, Fabrizio. The Dodici is essentially a Momento Zero Grande with facets. It is a little larger than the MZ. Compared to the OMAS pens, it is longer and thicker. Here is a comparison of the three:

If you want a slightly shorter and thinner Leonardo, you might consider the Momento Magico.

Congrats!

That's a beautiful pen!

But maybe I'm biased because today I received the exact same pen, with the exact same nib! 😁

Mine (#85/100) is inked with Diamine Sargasso Sea, and the stub is wonderful.
